fuuk one of my tires all of a sudden got sidewall puncture.
I want to order the beefiest tires I can fit - I have 18x8.5 42 offset front 38 offset rear will 245/45/18 fit???? |
By beefy do you mean that you have a bigger diameter or more width? 245/45 is more diameter (245/40/18 is a tiny bit smaller than stock and what people usually go with) You can fit 255/40/18 easy if you want width.

So I'm getting a great deal on these, I just want to make sure they will work first. They are from an evo.
http://www.tirerack.com/wheels/Wheel...All&sort=Brand the 18in one They have 235/40/18s on them also. |
^They should fit fine. 17x8 is a pretty small wheel though. I know your getting a good deal and all...but I would at least get 17x9.

^Oh ok well then yeah they will fit just fine.

Yeah, you're fine.

Alright, tired of browsing through 101 pages to find the answer, so I'll just ask because I'm not quite sure.
I'm looking at the Advan TCII 18x9.5 Available Offsets: +12/+22/+29/+35 Those are the flat face fitments, not a big fan of the GTR face. Running on TEIN Type Flex, standard height settings. I think it's a 1.15" drop. All I did was subtract if from stock ground clearance (~4.7" - ~3.55"). I could be wrong. Hell, I'm probably wrong. Now, if what I did gather was correct, I'm thinking the +35 might not even be doable, and will be looking at other wheels. Just wanted to make sure. Also, if it will work, suggested tire sizes? |

18x9.5 +35 would be your safest bet. but +29 will work with a 255/35R18 and some fender rolls.

nice, lucky you. i wanted the 18x9.5 +29 in GTR face, then found out they were discontinued :(
with the +35 you should be able to easily fit 265/35R18. you could even do 275, but i think that's a bit overkill. |
17x10 +25 offset with 275/40R17 NT-01s
stock suspension Too much? |
Too much

Konig Runaways 17X8 +46...pretty sure it fits but would like a tire size recommendation. The car sits on megan lowering springs which say a 1.75/1.5 F/R drop so I'd like to keep a 45 series or lower profile to prevent rubbin'. So I guess I'm just wondering how wide I can go...? Thanks much!

How is it too much?
The wheel or tire or both? I would think a 30 offset wheel would be ideal for a 10" wide rim instead of +25 so maybe the wheel is not optimum. 275's are a bit wider than most would suggest, but I heard that some have been able to make them fit. Would I need more camber to pull the tops in a bit for clearance? If it fits, there is no such thing as too much rubber:evil_laug

^I disagree that 275 is too much rubber, my rear end still tries to break loose :)

Tein S-tech drop
18x9.5 +35 offset 255/40/18 rear 18x8.5 +35 offset 235/45/18 front Rims are on order. Have I made good tire selections? What improvements would you suggest? Thanks! |
245/40/18 or even 255/40/18 front tire
