Its about a 6mm difference and I can see either way, its not exactly easy.
It gets to the point where the fender isn't the only thing in the way of the tire, at least when you get to a certain ride height.

Well, the "will it fit"'s are about the same, the difference now is in the "can it fit" ![Naughty](https://www.rx8club.com/images/smilies/naughty.gif)
Hopefully too many questions aren't answered in here with "yes" or "easily". For the average owner no, specs like 18x10.5 +22 won't fit, its all dependent on how much work one is willing to go through for it. Even lower offsets are doable but it gets to the point of handling worse than an OEM car would, I'd rather not make the step down in performance, for now. Just wait, some VIP guy is going to come in and build a car around some 18x12 +6 Eurolines, but lose all functionality of the car's best traits.

OK, I've been reading and looking for 3 hours now and my eyes are too blurry, lol. I still don't totally understand everything so I thought I'd just ask...
My tires are on their way, 265/35 18"
I ordered these with the black RPF1 9.5 +45 in mind, but I also like the Rota Torque but the closest size I could find is this:
Wheel Style - Rota Torque
Wheel Diameter (Inches) - 18"
Wheel Width (Inches) - 9.5"
PCD Bolt Pattern - 5X114.3
Offset - 20mm
Hub Bore - 73.1mm
Will that work or am I an idiot?
Thanks for your help

Dude honestly, just stay away from Rota. Save up a couple more bucks and get some enkeis or a little more money for volks or something.
Anyways... both of your choices above will fit fine with 275/35/18 tires. You might to roll the rears with the +38 if youre lowered

I'll probably stick with the black RPF1 18x9.5 +45, they should at least retain their value. It's just tough to see some great looking wheels for so much cheaper. Also, I'm on Tanabe coilovers, hopefully no rubbing. I love some of the Bronze Volks and Advans, they look great, but they cost quite a bit more than the RPF1's
Don't get me wrong, the Enkei's are great and I'm sure I'll like them, I just love the look of concave bronze wheels on the ti-grey 8's.

Just so people don't get the wrong ipression, its camber and tire dependent, as well as ride height. If you are running a 275 that is on the wider side and are low enough, without enough camber, you can rub, on unrolled fenders. Don't think many people are low enough though.

I'm also just starting to become involved in competitions and found a set of SSR TypeC RS 17x8 wheels (15.8 lbs) for $1k instead of the regular price of more than double that, so I won't have to run on my street set next year. I'm just happy to have a second set at this point.
Also, not everyone involved in competitions is at the level where they absolutely must have that extra inch of wheel space to shave off a tenth of a second. I could really not care less. I'm just out there to have fun.
That's pretty much what my original question was, thanks.
