Ok, don't even have the RX-8 yet, but doing a bit of pre-planning. I plan on slamming the car on Stance GR+ Plus coilovers and doing some fender rolling. The plan is to run some matte black 5-zigen FN01R-C Hot Versions in 17"x9"/225F & 17"x10"/245R (mild stretch). Not too smart when it comes to offsets though. The 17"x9"s come in 15, 35, and 43 offsets and the 17"x10"s come in 12, 25 and 35 offsets. The idea here is to go for a hellaflush look (I know, i'm sure many of you are so against this), b/c I plan on running a good bit of camber to make everything fit. Any help is greatly appreciated.

17x10 +25 with 245s all around has been done on slammed cars. It requires some work to fit correctly though.

Thanks man. Oh, and I know its gonna take some work. Theres a few guys over on VADriven.com that do fender rolling. Plus i'm gonna run a mild stretch and a decent amount of camber, so i'm confident I can get it to fit without a hitch. I doubt i'll need to pull the fenders/quarters at all, but if need be, i'll do so.
Search for the 'Yes it did fit' thread, you will find your answers |

lol, if you're going for the "hellaflush" look, rolling and pulling fenders are a must ;)
Search for the 'Yes it did fit' thread, you will find your answers Rolling......yes.....but I doubt i'll need to pull the fenders with 9"/10" widths. Over on WFC there are Acura CL's running 10" wide wheels in the rear with only mild fender rolling (no pulling) and thats a FWD car for god's sake, lol. I'm thinking about maybe buying the fender roller Stance makes and learning how to do it myself b/c my roomate wants to roll the fenders on his STI too. But I just don't know if I trust myself enough. |
^10" width wheel will need a pull with an aggressive enough offset. . . that is. . . if you want to truly be 'hellaflush' otherwise...you'd just be 'kinda-flush'
|
Dude, an 8" rim could need a pull on our car lol. +0 offset or -10 on that and you would definitely need one lol.
Also, did you ever consider that Cl's have larger wheelwell's to begin with? Thats why they can fit 10" low offsets with just rolling |
Hey i really want to put the G35 stock 7 spoke 18's onto my rx8....ive seen it on a few rx8's, but idk if itl just go on fine, or if there's something i dont know about?
i think the wheel is 18x8 +30mm offset. any help? :< |
Yes it will fit fine.

i still want them to be flush but i need to try to figure out how far is too far with the offset before i order them 35??? 40????? 45?????? is 45 closest to as flush as I can get? and is 35 way back in the wheel well? I want to order 18"x 8.5" and they have a 2.25" lip

rpf1s 18x8.5 +35 flush all around ?

Ok guys, I am sorry but I have searched for hours now. But with 129 pages to search, it made it almost impossible to find out the answer i want without asking the potentially cliché question here. So i am just going to ask it anyway, and please give me some pointer if you don't mind.
The setting I am after is as below. Front: 18x8 offset +35 Rear: 18x9 offset +35 Front tyre: 225/45/18 Rear tyre: 245/40/18 or any reasonable size that will allow the above rim size to fit without any rubbing/scrapping. Height: Lowered with Eibach Pro kit (Well, sorry, i ain't too sure how much it dropped, would think it's around 28MM front & back) Could you please let me know with above setting, can i pull this off without rolling guard or any camber adjustment? Thanks heaps in advance! |
Yea that will fit easy.

17x8 +35... no problems, right. Just will be tucked into the wheel well about 20mm?
