you can go up to 275/35 but you WILL have to roll the fenders in the rear ;)
But yes the 255 is a good size |

Hey guys lets leave the chit chat for the Lounge :)
And get this thread back on topic.. So... Will an 18x8 +40 fit on my car? :) |
Only if you run about 15 degrees of camber and pull the fenders. You should probably ask questions like that in the Aggressive fitment thread. They could help you out a little better.
|
Don't know much about this topic, though I did try doing some research.
Tires: 245/45-17 17x8 +48 How would it compare to 17x7.5 +45 |
It will fit with inches to spare. http://www.1010tires.com/WheelOffsetCalculator.asp That site will tell you how much farther out your wheel will sit/how the clearance between the shock and wheel changes.
|
What about a 17x8 +75?
|
Ok, so if I do the 17"x9"F/17"x10"R w/ a 225's up front and 245's out back, what would be a good offset to run considering I want it flush? (actually i'd like a bit of poke + some very aggressive camber). Also, I because I plan on running a bit of stretch, should I stick with a 45 profile tire, or maybe even go down to a 40 profile tire?

Thanks. In your opinion you think the 245 will rub?
|
I think I made a mistake. Is 245/45-17 usually only for the rear tires staggered w/ 225/50-17 in front? If so, I'd probably just stick with 225/50-17 all around.
In the case of 225/50-17 these should both work? 17x8 + 48 or 17x7.5 +45 For some reason the Enkei I was looking at is 17x7 +38 or +45. The +45 seems like a poor fit (wheel retracts according to the calculations) but +38 should work? So many questions, sorry |
yes
i have 18x8.5 +35 245/40's and no rubbing while lowered at full load. you'll be fine |
I am a newbie here.
I bought a used (reconditioned from japan) 2003 AT RX-8. It came with 225/55R16 94V stock (i believe) wheels/rims. How far can I go with the rims and wheels without touching anything? (ie. just to take off the old once and put the new once on) |
ugh, just outta curiousity - did you bother reading through any of this thread prior to posting??
|
^ ha ha. come on man, another person to impart all of your wisdom on
|
I'm fresh outta patience and wisdom for the moment...
...however i am stocked to the ceiling with spite and sarcasm :D: |
^ ha ha, well as long as you put on your supportive pom-poms tomorrow i'll be good.

You could do a +20 up front and a +20 out back.
Offsets for the 17"x10" are 12, 25 and 35. Keep in mind I want a bit of poke (will be rolling/pulling the fenders) and, the tire specs will be 225/45's up front and 245/45's out back. |
^sounds like you want an aggressive fitment. Check out the 'aggressive fitment' thread.
For what you're asking though 17x9 - i'd go with +15 17x10 - i'd go with +25 reasoning is because of the tires you suggested. |
