lol

you gotta remember most rims sub $200 are going to have high offsets to allow fitment for all kinds of cars. If you want a lower offset, save up for the real thing or get rotas.

TopGear8 12-02-2009 12:48 PM

^Not really, it will fit fine. 245 would fit better though.

stewiefied 12-02-2009 01:42 PM

245/30/20 20-8 40 offset will it fit?

J8635621 12-02-2009 01:52 PM

Yea easy.

stewiefied 12-02-2009 01:57 PM

i figure just double checking thanks

TopGear8 12-02-2009 02:08 PM

stewiefied 12-02-2009 02:18 PM

J8635621 12-02-2009 02:19 PM

well i already had the 235/40 tires but on my next set of tires i think i am going too go with 255/40. I think that will make my rims look the best and be better for handling!

Ross_Dawg 12-02-2009 07:11 PM

a 255/35/18 would be a better choice.

Can you explain why? Sorry i was under the impression that for a 8.5 inch wide rim 255/40 is the best choice.

j863521 " Yes they will fit. Tire size is a little off but nothing horrible"

So i am just confused , as to who's right here.

Atilla 12-02-2009 08:59 PM

RPM Rush: 235, 245 and 255 WILL ALL WORK. NONE OF THESE ARE 'WRONG' - it's almost a matter of preference if they're just daily driven rubber.

Sorry man, I was confused jumping through threads...

255/40/18 is a perfect choice.

Shijin-Kun 12-02-2009 10:34 PM

how good would some rpf-1's 17X9 +20 on 245 size tires ride, i mainly daily drive my car and starting to get into autocross. What modifications to the fender would i have to make? is it worth it? oh and im riding on stock suspension.

F: 17x9 +22
R: 17x9 +22

F: 245/40/17
R: 245/40/17

Thanks again Atilla! But what is the difference going to be between a 235 vs a 255? Looks/grip? Thanks Again you have been alot of help!

Thats ok. You guys are just trying to help! And besides you guys prolly get asked the same question over and over again. But i do really appreciate your guys is help!

J8635621 12-03-2009 02:11 PM

235/40 has less grip and is shorter overall. 255/40 is basically the same diameter as the stock wheels aka speedo and looks. 235 will have more wheel gap and make your car closer to the ground.

Thanks again! That helps alot, I guess my next set of tires will be 255/40's.:icon_tup:

OK I bought a 05 that was a bank repo. It has lots of STUFF. KN monsoon, Magnafolw, Billet pulleys. And Axis Matrix 19 staggered wheels. 275/30/19 and 245/35/19 in the front. I don't like the really low profile tires. Can I go taller ? I don't know the backset. It does not appear to be lowered.. I like INVO Thanks a lot really !!

J8635621 12-04-2009 10:21 PM

If you go taller, your car will be slower acceleration wise and your speedometer will be wrong. We need to know stuff like the width/offset of the wheels and if the fenders are rolled to say how tall of a tire you can go with. The offset and width should be on the back side of the wheel, or you could probably just take a couple pictures of how the car looks. You may just be better off selling those wheels for some 18s though. Why don't you like the low profile tires?
