I would like to take this moment to requote something that i believe may be more relevant than an answer at this point....

It will fit, and it will look good. You're probably looking at a 235/40 + 245/40 stagger with regards to tires. It will take some rolling of fenders + trimming of plastic. I don't think you'd have to pull at those specs with those tires...

okay ima go with a 18/8.5 in the front on a +35 offset..with a 225/45/18
and a 18/9.5 in the rear with a +40 offset with a 245/40/18
sitting on tein s techs..
tires are nitto invos..
i want to have the aggressive look with no rubbing..or having to roll the fender
now i went to discount tire today to order some enkei rpf1's they told me the set up wasnt possible that i was going to rubb and roll the fender and i needed to go with a +45 for the front and a +55 for the rear..now what do you guys think? i need some help..i just wanna be as sure as possible this time before i make this purchase because i have already messed up once..thanks..

Atilla's post was for you in case you didn't notice. Look in the thread for 2 seconds to find out more aggressive stuff than that will fit easily, w/o roll or rubbing. No reason to go staggered or with tires that thin either.

ok so i got my 255/40/r18 and my 18x8.5 offset 30 installed on my car. Now im thinking of getting the tokico d-spec with tein h-techs springs installed. I have my rear fenders rolled already will i need any more modifications so that the tires dont rub or should i be fine?

J8635621 01-20-2010 01:14 PM

You will have no problems and can go as low as you want. Why H-techs?

Shijin-Kun 01-20-2010 01:20 PM

not really looking to go too low plus i found them for 170.

J8635621 01-20-2010 01:47 PM

S-tech isn't too low for most people and it is the same price while looking a million times better. I live in the middle of nowhere with crappy ass roads and I'm lower than s-tech. NEVER scraped or anything.

Shijin-Kun 01-20-2010 02:10 PM

What's wrong with h-techs?

J8635621 01-20-2010 02:14 PM

Not low enough for most people, but I'm sure you have searched for pictures. It's your car and totally up to you.

You're using a 265 on the front also? Shit do you really need anything more than a 245 on the front? Even for an FI car? I wouldn't think anything bigger than a 245, maybe a 255 on the rear would benefit an NA car mainly for street use.

Mazda_RX804 01-25-2010 11:51 AM

F: 19x8.5 +32 (235/35/19)
R: 19x10 +36 (265/30/19)

Im at stock height, will I rub?

J8635621 01-25-2010 11:57 AM

May need the rears rolled, but it will look like crap most likely. Stock height is gonna make the wheels look like they stick out past the fenders. 245/35/19 would work better in the front, and 275/30 in the rear but that's my opinion. edit: the thinner tires may make it look better on the stock ride height

pdxhak 01-25-2010 12:17 PM

Mazda_RX804, How many times do you need to ask

As I said in another thread, the front wheel/tire combo will be taller than the rears. You should lower the car because the fender gap is going to be greater than it is now.

Overall though both are smaller than stock. Your speedo will be off and your warranty is going to run out sooner than later.

Stock 225/45/18 Overall Diameter: 25.97 in 659.63 mm

235/35/19 Overall Diameter: 25.47 in 646.93 mm

265/30/19 Overall Diameter: 25.25 in 641.35 mm

J8635621 01-25-2010 12:24 PM

1. Get a drop
2. Stay away from the super low profile tires since I think you were getting some nice rims.

Mazda_RX804 01-25-2010 12:40 PM

you said 275/30/19 ok ill do that, i was only gonna do 265 incase of rubbing. How come Rotr8 is running +35 275/35 and is lowered 1.5" and says he had no fender modding done?

J8635621 01-25-2010 12:55 PM

Differing levels of camber. Why are people so turned off on rolling fenders anyway? BTW: It doesn't look lowered 1.5" in the rear which is the important part.

Shijin-Kun 01-25-2010 01:00 PM

i can say i was turned off from rolling for the following reasons:

1. i didnt know what exactly they did
2. i thought it was super expensive
3. afraid they would brake something

Since we are in the subject of camber whats a good camber setting for my wheel/tire combo? Also what is the max camber you put on the stock camber kit.

pdxhak 01-25-2010 01:03 PM

The amount of camber you run is a personal choice and can be dictated by how wider your wheel and tire is. The more camber you run the faster the wear is. So your budget needs to be able to afford it as well. Run more than -2 and will find out what I'm talking about fairly quick :)

pdxhak 01-25-2010 01:06 PM

Also a good idea to run less negative camber in the rear than the front to prevent understeer.
