I would like to take this moment to requote something that i believe may be more relevant than an answer at this point....

okay ima go with a 18/8.5 in the front on a +35 offset..with a 225/45/18 and a 18/9.5 in the rear with a +40 offset with a 245/40/18 sitting on tein s techs.. tires are nitto invos.. i want to have the aggressive look with no rubbing..or having to roll the fender now i went to discount tire today to order some enkei rpf1's they told me the set up wasnt possible that i was going to rubb and roll the fender and i needed to go with a +45 for the front and a +55 for the rear..now what do you guys think? i need some help..i just wanna be as sure as possible this time before i make this purchase because i have already messed up once..thanks.. |
ok so i got my 255/40/r18 and my 18x8.5 offset 30 installed on my car. Now im thinking of getting the tokico d-spec with tein h-techs springs installed. I have my rear fenders rolled already will i need any more modifications so that the tires dont rub or should i be fine?
|
You will have no problems and can go as low as you want. Why H-techs?
|
not really looking to go too low plus i found them for 170.
|
S-tech isn't too low for most people and it is the same price while looking a million times better. I live in the middle of nowhere with crappy ass roads and I'm lower than s-tech. NEVER scraped or anything.
|
What's wrong with h-techs?
|
Not low enough for most people, but I'm sure you have searched for pictures. It's your car and totally up to you.

I am looking to put 18x8.5 38 on the front and rear will I be able to use stock tires with these?

This is what I have and no issues,,,
F/R 18 x 8.5 38 mm offset F/R 265-35 x 18 |
F: 19x8.5 +32 (235/35/19)
R: 19x10 +36 (265/30/19) Im at stock height, will I rub? |
May need the rears rolled, but it will look like crap most likely. Stock height is gonna make the wheels look like they stick out past the fenders. 245/35/19 would work better in the front, and 275/30 in the rear but that's my opinion. edit: the thinner tires may make it look better on the stock ride height

Mazda_RX804, How many times do you need to ask
As I said in another thread, the front wheel/tire combo will be taller than the rears. You should lower the car because the fender gap is going to be greater than it is now. Overall though both are smaller than stock. Your speedo will be off and your warranty is going to run out sooner than later. Stock 225/45/18 Overall Diameter: 25.97 in 659.63 mm 235/35/19 Overall Diameter: 25.47 in 646.93 mm 265/30/19 Overall Diameter: 25.25 in 641.35 mm |
1. Get a drop
2. Stay away from the super low profile tires since I think you were getting some nice rims. |
you said 275/30/19 ok ill do that, i was only gonna do 265 incase of rubbing. How come Rotr8 is running +35 275/35 and is lowered 1.5" and says he had no fender modding done?
|
Differing levels of camber. Why are people so turned off on rolling fenders anyway? BTW: It doesn't look lowered 1.5" in the rear which is the important part.
|
i can say i was turned off from rolling for the following reasons:
1. i didnt know what exactly they did 2. i thought it was super expensive 3. afraid they would brake something Since we are in the subject of camber whats a good camber setting for my wheel/tire combo? Also what is the max camber you put on the stock camber kit. |
The amount of camber you run is a personal choice and can be dictated by how wider your wheel and tire is. The more camber you run the faster the wear is. So your budget needs to be able to afford it as well. Run more than -2 and will find out what I'm talking about fairly quick :)
|
Also a good idea to run less negative camber in the rear than the front to prevent understeer.
