^too small off a sidewall for that stretch, you can do it, but a 45 would be better.

You don't think the added height is gonna cause clearance problems?

45 is not the height...it is the percentage of the width that makes up the height. 225/45/18 is not the same height as 285/45/18 by any means. You can run wayyyyyy more tire than you would ever need on the street. 245/40 is the most common upgrade as it costs little to nothing more than stock size and it keeps the speedometer accurate.

Question Question

Hey guys, I have a question for you.
I am looking at 19"/9.5" or 19"/8" wheels with +40 offset for the front with 235/35/19 tires.
And, 19"/9.5" wheels with +20 offset for the rear with 255/35/19 tires.

Will these fit with no issues?
Thank you in advance for your replys.

That will require plastic removal, bumper mounting tab adjustment, camber, and fender work.

Question 2nd Question

Thank you so much for the fast response.

Front: 19"/9.5"/40offset + 235/35/19
Rear: 19"/9.5"/40offset + 255/35/19

OR

Front: 19"/8/40offset + 235/(35or40)/19
Rear: 19"/9.5/40offset + 255/35/19

Will any of these two options work without any serious surgery to the fenders?
This will be the last question from me so thank you again in advance for your replies.

Either of those should work easily....

It was the +20 offset in the rears that killed the last ones

You can do option 1 with 255s all around if you wanted, and check into 245/35 for the 8" rims.

Thanks for the info. I kind of wanted to go with the staggered look, so I think I am going to go through with the 235s in front and 255s in the rear.
Thank you though for the additional information.

Remember if you stagger them you can't rotate your tires...and they will wear out faster....

Also the car handles way better with the same tires front and back..Just a FYI

And it really isn't much of a stagger when the wheels are the same size and offset.

Hello im new here and I have a question, "will it fit" "xxr 006" 18x8.5 with a +35 offset. they are about 25lbs and I would also like to know how much the extra weight would hurt performance, Im running a stock 05 shinka. Its a daily driver and I dont race or anything like that. For example how much will it slow me down from 0-60? is it enough to worry about? Im sure this has been asked many times before but I would appreciate any help. Thanks

https://www.rx8club.com/showpost.php...postcount=1402 Those are the exact rims you just asked about. Those are heavier, but nothing awful will happen. More weight = slower and harsher ride. The weight difference isn't huge so don't worry too much about it.

I am having a lot of trouble confirming they will clear brakes. I'm looking at 17X9 +36
I'm guessing no one has any input? I've found a few ppl that had the wheels, but only 18's. still cant confirm the 17's would clear the brakes, and cant find any kind of detailed specs on the wheels to measure for myself

Woah....my internet never showed your post. I was talking to the 19x9 +40 guy. I wish I could help you but I've never had the wheels to look at or seen a car with those rims/brakes of our size.

That will fit fine. The sig above your post has those exact rims with wider tires.
