Alright, I guess it's my turn to ask.

Eibach pro kit + Bilstein B8 sprint (yes a very rare combination), for your reference people, I have no wheel gap right now, so it's like the Koni Yellows (lowers a bit more after installing). Eibach pro kits are 1.2" front and 0.8" rear as is, on stock shocks

18 x 9.0 all around
245/40/18 all around

What offset with no rub and without any fender rolling?

J8635621 05-02-2010 05:50 PM

+30 or higher

tagz321 05-04-2010 01:41 AM

ok so just bought some rims and im looking to find some tires that will fit..
F/18x8.5 +30mm offset
R/18x9.5 +25 mm offset
would a 275/35/18 fit with a fender roll? o and im on s.techs

TopGear8 05-04-2010 08:50 AM

^You'll need more than a fender roll with 275's on a 18x9.5 +25.

tagz321 05-04-2010 01:29 PM

alright so probably like a 255 then? or still to big?
i own a set of 225/40/18, i just dont really want to run stretched

255/40/18 is what I just ordered for my 18x9.5 +30

J8635621 05-04-2010 02:49 PM

That should work, but some people have had problems with 255/40 being too tall on a lowered car with lower offset wheels (similar to the guy about 30 posts ago). Just a word of caution. You both will have to trim the plastic covering the bumper attachment tab in the rear wheel well.

Vlaze 05-04-2010 02:59 PM

Well I could let you know on this since I bought 255/40 for my 18x10 +28 offset rims. I initially thought of 255/35 but didn't want to go 7mph off the speedo considering it's on the max end of tolerance right now already going 2 under what's really on the gauge.

Lowered, I can under a sharp drop in the road feel a good hit in the rear fender wheel well from the tires so I already need to adjust the dampening stiffer but not sure if that will stop it in the future or not. Plus with a wider rim and lower offset it's going to be closer but I already counted on rolling them to get it to work thus will be in the aggressive thread but I'll update on here how much work was required.

J8635621 05-04-2010 03:03 PM

Wait....your fenders aren't rolled yet? PM me some pics...I want to see.

Vlaze 05-04-2010 03:05 PM

The rims aren't on the car yet either lol. I should of been more detailed, I was driving with the stockies. I know it's gonna be worst with the wider ones without a roll.

J8635621 05-04-2010 03:13 PM

Alright that makes more sense. The problem I'm actually talking about is more like this https://www.rx8club.com/series-i-wheels-tires-brakes-suspension-55/tire-gets-stuck-inside-fender-when-turning-left-191688/.

Vlaze 05-04-2010 03:33 PM

You know it's funny that link. The op said he had the issues before he was lowered yet if you see his first pic, he is drastically lowered on the front at least. And his final pics show the front at the same height as the first pic. That makes more sense because I've seen people run lower offset than he is with 245/40's and 255/40's and had no such issue when lowering the car.

The op is just at a lot lower right height than those I mentioned are is all. Guess I'll find out when I get mine on.

*edit* One other thing is on Pdx's thread, he said 255/35 was closest to the OEM size, but it's not; 255/40 is. 255/35 is 1 inch smaller in total diameter contrast to stock.

J8635621 05-04-2010 04:09 PM

Pdxhak has 19s so he is right.

Hi guys I'm looking for rays g games 99b in 18x9.5 all around what do you think about the off set +22 or +30?
Oh tires will be stretched
http://www.rayswheels.co.jp/cgi-bin/...?modelName=99B

The Reverend 05-04-2010 05:30 PM

you'll need a roll and camber for both, the tire size you want may dictate the offset you end up getting

Gopherage 05-04-2010 10:38 PM

Hi, i've never posted in this section before. Had someone offer me a set of wheels and tires for a decent price. Wanted to see if they would fit or if they would cause more problems then they are worth.

19"x8.5 +15 Offset, and 19"x9.5 +20 Offset, Tire are (2) 245/35ZR19 & (2) 275/35ZR19.

rOtArY"DOC" 05-04-2010 10:46 PM

Ok this is a question so i have a better knowledge of offsets and things. So take 2 wheels, same specs but one hase an offset of say 40 and the other has an offset of 30. Does the wheel with 30 offset stick out more tha the 40 offset? Please help me to understand this better so i have a gained knowledge of this please. Thank you!

J8635621 05-05-2010 05:28 AM

Gopherage...that will require some definite work roll, pull, camber.
Rotarydoc...http://www.tirerack.com/wheels/tech/...jsp?techid=101 lower offset sticks out further but you have to consider width as well

Gopherage 05-05-2010 11:44 PM

Sounds like that is more problems than they are worth. Which sucks because it is definitely the design I was looking for.

@!!narotordo 05-06-2010 01:33 AM

Make it happen man

Hi!!! I'm planning to buy some rims for autocroos/solo events. Just doing the RB sway bars in the suspension. Whant to keep running 18's but a little wider. Just want to keep the stock tire circunsference at the end. Any with the Enkei 18x8.5? What tire size recomended? Rubbing?

Thanks

J8635621 05-09-2010 12:14 PM

If you look in this thread for about 4 seconds you will have your answer.

I did for more than that...but the answer is not that easy. Everybody has an opinion. Looking for a specific answer with tire size numbers, rim width, offset, lighter wheels than oem's and no fender rubbing with the suspension mods I mentioned.

The 4 seconds you took to write your response, would have been more useful if they included the especific thread or post that would give me this 'easy' answer.

Thanks for your help

Is this something you are using? Any rubbing? Do you have pics?

Thanks
