I have that on my car right now 9k. Next time you come to Waco we can throw one of my rims/spacers on there for you to look at. PS It DOES need a roll and trimming of the plastic at least for me but I'm a bit lower than S-techs.

Well since you didnt provide me with any wheel info, just tire size, it's hard to tell you whether they will fit.

Come back here with wheel width and offset and I can tell you if they will fit.

Sorry,i dont know alot about wheels.

Ok,i have chickend out of getting 20"s and have found some 18s

They are 18x8.5x 35p front/rear

I take it that as the car has 18 standard rims, these should fit?

tofu_box 05-12-2010 05:27 AM

hey guys what about 19x9 +45?

and if it does what tire size should i go with for no rubbing and no fender rolling?

benben73 05-12-2010 05:30 AM

Thx for the help guys. Got everything fitted today and they fit fine, and looks like i shouldn't have any clearance problems as there is still a 2 finger gap front and back.

Those will fit fine with some 245/40's. You might need to roll the rear fenders.

You can have a 265/35 all around with no rubbing. Id reccomend a 255/35/19.

tofu_box 05-12-2010 06:38 AM

Ah cheers thx mate

Thanks,i dont really want to roll the fenders, just sounds hard and will add extra expense. looks like the guy wants to put on 235/40/18 .

Frosty288 05-12-2010 07:39 AM

NYC Drift King 05-12-2010 08:34 PM

Ok so I'm finally gunna close a deal on some rims. I've kinda asked this question. But here it gos again.

The rims I'm getting are 19x10 20offset.

I found some Toyo T1R's for cheap. Size is 255/40/r19

think they will fit good?

will fit without a roll depending on tire size...I run 275/35/18 all around on my wheels (which are the same specs) and i had to roll my rears

uhh....r15 tires wont fit on 19 in wheels Omar ...but 19x10 +20 will need alot of work to fit

tofu_box 05-13-2010 07:08 AM

so going with
19 x 9 +38 offset

with 245/35/19

Sound good?

J8635621 05-13-2010 08:07 AM

That will fit fine

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH  LMAO I meant R19.....

J8635621 05-13-2010 09:42 AM

255/40/19 is the wrong size anyway. Considerably taller than stock

ronx8 05-13-2010 10:34 AM

do evo x MR BBS rims fit on the rx8??

same bolt pattern 5x114

Atilla 05-13-2010 10:59 AM

yeah

Atilla 05-13-2010 11:08 AM

actually hang on - aren't those wheels 17x8 +35??

J8635621 05-13-2010 11:16 AM

Evo X is more than likely 18x8.5 +35. I'm not sure if the MR is a different size than GSR though.

Atilla 05-13-2010 11:17 AM

 oops, read the post too fast - nvm

damn you ispy :icon_no2:

no way those tires will fit with that offset wheel. You gotta get 35's.

J8635621 05-13-2010 04:25 PM

and being lowered will mean the 255/35/19 will rub up front almost regardless of the offset. It's just not the best way to go imo. It can be made to work though.
