I wonder if Rays can do anything for you? I had the wheels (including polished lip) painted a darker gunmetal. GL finding a spare.

It fits, but is it safe? Just swapped my front tires from 225/45/18 to 225/40/18. Didn't notice until the dudes at discount tire pointed it out, but the load index on the new tires are 88 compared to the 91 on the old ones. I know the 8 is pretty lightweight but is it ok to run these for street and auto-x use?

IIAscEndAncYII 05-22-2010 11:23 AM

Wheel Diameter (18/18)
Wheel Width (8/9)
Wheel Offset (45mm/45mm)
Suspensions Changes (sprint springs aka 2 inch drop)
recm tire size (225/45-18 front / 245/40-18 rear)

not wanting to roll fenders this setup possible?

pdxhak 05-22-2010 02:50 PM

Debating between 245/35/19 and 245/40/19 front and back. Wheels are 19x8.5 +40. Lowered on coilovers. Currently have 255/35 front and back.

245/40/19 will be even taller. You want 245/35

dannobre 05-23-2010 12:26 AM

You need 245-35-19's....

chino0314 05-23-2010 01:28 AM

17x9.5 +18
with 285s :) is it possible??
im sitting on 17x9 +35 w/ 275s all around now. im trying to go staggered in the rear. is it doable?
also im lowered on
megan racing springs:F-1.75R-1.5
and Koni Yellows:F-.5?R-.5?

swoope 05-23-2010 01:50 AM

17 x 9.5 with + 18 with 285.

i would vote a huge cup of no on that...

May need a fender roll depending on camber/drop ^

SPM 05-25-2010 05:47 AM

Hi!

I was offered a good deal on Cr-Kai 8,5/18 +25 (!!!), tires 235/40 all four, all stock.
Will it fit?

J8635621 05-25-2010 01:26 PM

It can be made to fit (rolled fenders, trim the plastic, etc), but will look like crap unless you are lowered.

Atilla 05-25-2010 09:26 PM

i gotta remember to post up pic's of my 'new' tire specs.

18x8.5 +35

w/255/40's

:suspect:

Reason for setup: was looking for 'just for now' rubber since my new rims are coming in some time this week (God willing :fingersx:) so i opted to get some slightly used rubber for the time being. The shop didn't have a full set of 245/40's so i opted for 255/40's instead.

First impressions: From the looks, it definitely looks more aggressive (not like hellaflush aggressive) w/all that rubber tucked under there. A lil' heavier on the response tho. I have yet to break traction tho - i've tested it out on some of my usual testing grounds near my house. So far so good - i'm liking it so far.

Slight rubbing in the rear w/two passengers tho.

The Reverend 05-25-2010 09:31 PM

The Reverend 05-25-2010 09:56 PM

Atilla 05-25-2010 09:57 PM
