I'm having a hrd time finding the right thread on here that shows the bolt pattern and rim size and offset for the stock rims for 2004 GT MT. I made a thread and someone show me what they think the size is for the stocks but I'de like to find the thread that has the dimensions listed. I want the new rims I'm getting to have the same dimensions as the stocks. Is my understanding right in thinking the new rims matching the factory stock sizes will perform like the creators intended? Or does anyone offer a better alternative as far as rim dimensions? I'm new to all this and I have done a bunch of reading on these forums but can't get a posative take on whats better or the pros and cons to rim size.

I just want to make sure I do my research before I buy anything and have it shipped. Again sorry for my ignorance, I might not be searching the right way on these forums and I'm sure all this is listed in stickys. I'm still learning alot here, thank you.

Stock rims sizes:

Rim dimensions: 18x8
Offset: +50
Wheel Weight: ~23-24lbs
Bolt Pattern: 5x114.3
tires: 225/45/18 if i remember correctly.
Hub: Can't remember, guess=67.1

Obtaining a wheel w/similar specs may or may not perform the exact same way. Another factor you would have to consider is weight.

My suggestion: Don't go any lower than 8inches wide on any wheel and if you go 9 inches or wider, go with a high offset (around +40) and you'll always have easy fitment. Go with the proper tire for each wheel n' you'll be set.

I would not suggest going with anything more aggressive since you're new to it.

Most people getting different rims go with something wider as that allows you to fit wider tires, which then give you more grip and just look better. If you are more performance oriented, stay with higher offset wheels like 9.5" wide +45 that a lot of people run. If you are more aesthetic-oriented, you can get a rim with a fat lip/concave spokes by having a lower offset. That means the wheel is pushed farther towards the fender. Depending on the wheel, the lip/concavity may just be determined by width. There are people that argue and say low offset wheels dont make much difference performance wise, and then there are people that say they are awful. My personal take is if you drive on the street, it doesn't matter a whole lot unless you go extreme like hellaflush people.

Big lip usually means HEAVY.

Personally not my style. I would save money and buy something a lil' better.

Some reputible companies; Enkei, Volk, Advan, Work, Gram lights. . .

But then again, this is your car. If you feel that's not the route you wanna go, then that's still cool too.

would 285/35/18 be pushing it?

Also, it looks like to get a decent lip on those wheels would require you to get the 19x9.5 and 19" tires are crazy expensive. Just a thought.

ronx8 - Pretty sure you could run 285/35, but you may need a roll. Any reason why you would go that wide? 275 is already excessive for NA.

Do you reccomend anything?

Get what you think looks good and fits your budget. If you post up a few different options, usually people will give you some critiques.

Hey guys i'm looking to buy new wheels/tires just checking to see which would fit with or without fender rolling... i really like the look of the +25 offset but not too sure if it'll fit initially on the car, i have sports suspension from the GT model. I'd be willing to use either tires being offered to me at the wheel shop. but Tell me what you guys think, it would be greatly appreciated thanks!:yesnod:

I'm running the 245 in the front becuase when I first got the RPF1 I had 245 azenis on all 4, then replaced the rears with fk452 in 275. I would like to avoid doing a fendor roll, but if necessary I will do it. Could I run a smaller tire and not get a roll? Like 255 on all 4? I agree 275 is too much for NA, but it fits 9.5 perfectly and I love the flush look.

Doremon-Yea you could run 255 all around if you wanted.
Junirol-why must you have different size tires front and back? Are you lowered? They are a little too short unless you were aware of that.

I don't really want to go wide, looking for more tire wall to fill the well gap. i kinda monster truck with 265/35/18. even with stechs. so 265/45 would suffice?

on 2nd thought i might keep the 265/35.
probably going with koni yellows and can drop it a little.

ronx8-Lol that tire is taller than stock. I imagine you would be tucking a good bit of tire. Look into 255/40 if you dont mind going a little thinner? 275/35 would probably be your best bet and would take about 1/4" of the wheel gap away. edit: Koni's would fix that wheel gap for sure.

Winning blue-Do a little bit of work....those wheels are basically stock size and you ask if you can fit stock size tires? If you haven't bought the rims, get something else.

Don't want anything bigger right now..I want to keep it stock size..just making sure they would fit. Thanks

What suspension?? Stock I dont see too much issues...I would roll just in case.

18 x 9.5 +22??? Those will stick out cartoon silly. And 9.5's are wasted with only 245's. jmho

yea i want all the wheels the same size so i can rotate now that i think about it, and 225/40 seem abit small... should i go with a 245/40 all around with a 18x9.5 +25? I would prolly have to roll fenders but it'll look pretty flush :)? any thoughts on that anyone?
