I'd like to know the above too ^

And also:

17x10 +25
vs
18x9.5 +20

would they give the same flush fit and concavity?

Wheel Style - RPF-1
Wheel Diameter (Inches) - 18"
Wheel Width (Inches) - 9.5F, 9.5R"
PCD Bolt Pattern - 5X114.3
Offset - +45mm

Want to run 245/40R18s all around. On stock springs/struts on my R3. Will be used for track days only. Should I stick with 245s or put wider in the rear?

dannobre 07-06-2010 01:22 AM

I would stay same front and back for track..you can rotate them that way :)

You can run up to 275-35-18's with no problems on those wheels

is 275 going to be too much tire for the track? and that'll fit up front without rubbing?

10+25 and 9.5+20 are basically the same (the 10+25 sticks out like 1mm farther). Concavity depends on the stuff we don't know. Sometimes it is just width related, and other times it is just the same after a certain width. Others have something to do with offset. You have to figure that one out.

9.5+20 and 10+25 are pretty aggressive and will look like crap without being super low with at least -3ish camber. You will be stuck with 225-245 tires and you will have to do some plastic surgery on the inside of the fenders.

It depends on the track if that will be too much tire. Short with corners (autox) = more tire while long straights are probably better suited to thinner tires. He was just saying it WOULD fit with up to 275s. It's your decision on how much tire to use.

If you had done any research at all, you would have found that is the single most common setup on an rx8. No problems with rubbing.

I`m dropped 2 inches all around, it`s not super low but I might resolve that after the wheels purchase.

I`ll prolly be running a stretch too, 205-215 tires.

Fender work is understood.

Thanks!

Wheel Width (Inches) - 9.5

I have no doubt they will fit.. Just wondering what size tire i should look at running with them, and if you would recommend a small spacer for a bit for of an aggressive look.

I like it when I can see a little meat outside of the fender wells.

Grog 07-08-2010 05:21 PM

Okay guys, this is it.

The wheels: 18x9, +41 all around

The question: Will I be able to drop the car on Tein S-Techs without any rubbing or fender rolling done?

The answer: ???

The Reverend 07-08-2010 05:32 PM

yes

chelecuche 07-08-2010 09:38 PM

I'm getting enkeis ekm3 with this specs:

18x8 +35 offset
245-40-18

I have stock height but planning to lowered, will that fit? Do I need spacer?

Thanks

mike[piston eater] 07-09-2010 12:31 AM

itll fit fine

this is how my car sits right now... and i wanna fill up the gap on the rear using 18x9.5/+25... :)... thanks again... ^^,...

ok so the 17x10 +25 is no where to be found and im dying for wheels

they're receiving 17x10 +12 in next week

ANY chance that they'll fit or am i asking for way more trouble than i need (ill be running lightly stretched tires if that matters)

The Reverend 07-09-2010 06:12 PM

that is quite a bit of trouble you will definitely be looking at pulling your fenders

wait for the +25 they are concave enough :)

J8635621 07-09-2010 10:30 PM

Pretty sure concavity doesn't matter on the offset with those rims, may be wrong though. +25 will have enough trouble looking good.

Ross_Dawg 07-09-2010 11:53 PM

17x10 +12 will fit with a 245 and lots of camber, rolled/pulled fenders; not worth it IMO

Munchy 07-10-2010 12:43 AM

dammiittttt
i want my wheels!

jiggawha1 07-15-2010 01:38 PM

Would a wheel this size fit?
19x9.5 / 5x114.3 / Offset +36
I am on OEM suspension, I'd like to lower it some if possible. What tires would you suggest?

it would fit, once you lower though you'll have to be careful since they're 19's. i had to roll and pull my rear fenders at 18x9.5+30 with tein s springs. you'll be 6mm IN but depends on what sidewall height you go with.

width-wise, you could do 255-285 i think. i settled on 275's. i think with 19's though you'll have to go a bit more stretched, like 245 or 255. i don't know though.

J8635621 07-15-2010 02:58 PM

Do 255/35/19, 265/30/19 or 275/30/19. With the 265 or 275 you may need to roll your fenders.

jiggawha1 07-15-2010 04:55 PM

Does anyone know of a board user here running this size? Also with running this size, am I harming any suspension components in terms of stress? Would appreciate as much feedback as possible as I found my dream rims for a decent price.

Atilla 07-15-2010 05:02 PM

your suspension will be fine.

TrevorsTII 07-15-2010 06:05 PM

Wheel Style - Can't decide
Wheel Diameter (Inches) - 18"
Wheel Width (Inches) - 9.5
PCD Bolt Pattern - 5X114.3
Offset - +38

With 265/35s

tanabe NF210 springs

Flush?

Atilla 07-15-2010 06:09 PM

Tucked. The tires will be close to matching the fender at the correct camber. Won't be hellaflush but still a good look.
