Is it gonna look like this, my other option is 18x9 +24 ?

bn sports v8 fc with bright ass rpf1s is so much win

HaydonGS 07-28-2010 07:50 AM

18x9 +41. No drop yet don't want to stretch and don't want a lot of fender work
265/35
275/35
or 255/40

J8635621 07-28-2010 09:30 AM

Those should all work considering they are smaller than 285s lol.

HaydonGS 07-28-2010 09:39 AM

What would be the best performance wise or should I step it up to the 285's?
I'm pretty bad at this stuff but I am trying to learn

J8635621 07-28-2010 10:12 AM

Straight line = 245 or 255s are all you "need" unless you are FI. If this is for the street, I would recommend one of those 2 sizes. If you autox then you will probably need the bigger tires. If you are lowered a lot, then probably stick with 245/40 as 255/40 may cause some issues.

HaydonGS 07-28-2010 10:15 AM

Alright thanks man

TopGear8 07-28-2010 11:50 AM

265's are fun on 18x9" wheel.

HaydonGS 07-28-2010 12:15 PM

^that's what i'm gonna go with, Can't wait to get some track time in the fall.

unknown__Disciple 07-29-2010 03:50 PM

i forgot where this thread was and i spent almost the whole day finding it hahaha....

so i need some tire suggestions for some some xxr 522 18x9.5 with an offset of 38 and i also want to know if i would have a rubbing issue if i do decide to get these rims. i plan on lowering later on in the future.

J8635621 07-30-2010 09:38 AM

Roll your fenders and you can run up to 275s. If I had a garage, I would just let you put a couple of my rims on your car. That's the specs on mine.

2FAST2FURI0US 07-30-2010 01:02 PM

20x8.5 +40
Haven't lowered and don't plan to, do you think 20"s are too big??

Vlaze 07-30-2010 01:04 PM

^Yes, and if you're not lowering your car when on 20's you're gonna look like a car set up for off roading.

2FAST2FURI0US 07-30-2010 01:11 PM

Ok, I'm new to this shit and don't known much about cars, is there anything I need to watch out for when looking for new rims and what else would I need to get other than tires obv....

The Reverend 07-30-2010 01:12 PM

yeah:

1: change your username
2. don't get 20s for this car
3: come back and start searching around :)

Vlaze 07-30-2010 01:13 PM
