mike[piston eater] 07-30-2010 01:25 PM

18s are fine just need to lower the car

2FAST2FURI0US 07-30-2010 01:32 PM

How much would that cost roughly cuz I'm kinds tight on mulaa

mike[piston eater] 07-30-2010 01:37 PM

2FAST2FURI0US 07-30-2010 01:43 PM

Alright well I'll be back again to see if they fit, lol... Any recommendations

2FAST2FURI0US 07-30-2010 01:48 PM

How much would I need to lower the car?? Like 3 inches max?

Atilla 07-30-2010 01:50 PM

2fast: here's some guidelines you can follow that will guarantee you easy fitment

Wheels:

18x8.5 +38

Tires:

245/40(or 35)

Suspension:

Tein S tech springs

DONE.

mike[piston eater] 07-30-2010 01:50 PM

paris is right

2FAST2FURI0US 07-30-2010 01:56 PM

Alright thx

2FAST2FURI0US 07-30-2010 02:25 PM

is 18x8 alright???? and is 38 and 40 a big difference?

Vlaze 07-30-2010 02:27 PM

That's our stock size...so yes.

Atilla 07-30-2010 02:27 PM

yeah that's fine. THey'll be tucked. It'll fit like the oem 18" wheels.

J8635621 07-30-2010 02:30 PM

If you are getting aftermarket rims, at least get wider than stock.

mike[piston eater] 07-30-2010 02:31 PM

or lower offset if it is 18x8

2FAST2FURI0US 07-30-2010 02:34 PM

ok so whats the widest i should probably go, 11??? thats the biggest ive seen lol

Vlaze 07-30-2010 02:34 PM

:wallbash:

Search, it's all subjective anyhow based on what YOU want to achieve.

mike[piston eater] 07-30-2010 02:35 PM

this is a help thread lol

mike[piston eater] 07-30-2010 02:36 PM

questions to ask your self budget? reuse stock tires? goals? performance? looks? do you wanna make it fit? or something that will bolt right up without modifications?

2FAST2FURI0US 07-30-2010 02:37 PM

i know what i want, but i dont know much about cars and dont wanna get something that wouldnt work with my car... thats all im scared of, idk what to get

There are different types of help. Mine is more of a cynical nature towards people who don't do anything to help themselves.

J8635621 07-30-2010 02:38 PM

Post a link to what you want

mike[piston eater] 07-30-2010 02:38 PM

answer those questions and we will point you in the right direction

Atilla 07-30-2010 02:39 PM

2FAST;

seriously - if you want more specific info - don't buy your rims yet. Do some research on what people have done and what they did to achieve it. Also understanding the importance of the factoring details (offset, tires, camber, suspension etc.).

If you just want to slap on some rims to look pretty then just follow the guidelines i gave you. and the difference between 38 and 40 is 2mm's. I doubt anybody will notice a difference.

2FAST2FURI0US 07-30-2010 02:40 PM

ok, im 18 with a low budget cuz im going to college... used most of my money i saved to buy car but still have $3k in bank... want nice chrome rims but dont know what to get for tires... i like the brand enkei that ive been looking at... want good looks.... hoping for it to fit
