I bet the 275/30 will be taller sidewalls aka more comfortable than the 235s.

yale02-those will fit. not too sure what you mean. they will be closer to the fender than stock but still not flush.

aftershock- what width are the rims?

Yea that will fit but 245/30/19 is really low profile. 245/35 is the size you want.

OK, I think that answers it. I just want to make sure they are not sunken in more than stock. I know it's not flush, but will they look good?

Hi Everyone...

I'm thinking about staggered rears.

How will an 18 x 9 ET 35 rear sit, with 255/40/18s or 265/35/18s.

I don't want to do any fender rolling etc. I have stock suspension but will be getting a full set of coilovers too....

Front will stay 18 x 8 245/40/18s

NON RX-8 related question.

My mother just bought a 2010 Altima Coupe but it came with 16" wheels. My dad wants to run my old factory RX-8 wheel on them using a Nissan center cap (that fits strangely).

Anyway, I checked and the 18" wheels that come on the SR Altima Coupe are 18 xx 8 and 5x114.3 +48 with a 66. bore. So, they are almost identical to the RX-8 wheels but Nissan runs a 235/45-18 tire on that rim. My buddy owns a tire shop and he said there is not a large selection (on what he can hook me up for cheap with) of the 235/45-18.

So, should I run a 225/45-18 tire or a 245/40-18 tire on this rim? Keep in mine that performance is not really an issue.

id run a 245/40 because strangely enough they always seem to be cheaper than the 225 counterparts

Hey guys need your input. Looking at getting rid of the OEM tires that came with the car Dunlop SP Sport 8090 want something with better grip, heard good things about potenza's re 11's but want to keep stock rims (18"). First question... want to go a bit wider 245/40/18 all around, will they fit and not look to spacey between tire and fender there being a 45 profile on there now. If so I would consider lowering the car with springs what you think? Second question am I better off going with 245/45/18. Already checked the specks on the tires and they will go on the stock rim. Help anybody, Thanks.

Hey cali style you are not experienceing any issues with your current tire set up with stock rims? Reason asking cause wanna go with that config on my stock rims 245/40/18. I've also noticed you indicated you've done no mods to your susp. so it's not to spacey between tire and edge of fender?? that was my main concern with going to a lower profile than stock. Hows the handleing with the wider tire, do u feel a diff? much thanks.

There are about 6 million people that run 245/40 on the stock rims. Don't get 245/45 as that is taller than stock. 245/40 is like .1 inches shorter than 225/45. It will look just fine if you aren't lowered. That being said, LOWER YOUR CAR!!! It looks so much better and gives the car a whole new look. That's just my 2 cents

serious roll, grind bumper tabs all the way down and camber and you can run 245s. if you wanna run 265s you will have to pull a little bit

its a good look though

so anyone have opinons on my 18x9 +35 265/40 setup? (rear)

with a 18x8 et48 245/40 at front....

Its NOT for looks, I want a useable non rubbing wheel.
I will have coilovers setup for performance not slammed looks, so maybe a tiny bit lower but nothing major.
