Hello everyone.

I've browsed through all 20 pages and I couldn't find the exact specs that apply to what I want, so please help. If this has been discussed, I apologize.

This is what I'm looking at: AXIS Matrix - black, 19 x 8, 35 mm offset
Tires: TOYO PR1 245/35/19

Will this wheel/tire combination work with no rubbing issues? My car is stock with MS body kit. Please advise.

Thanks,
Rico

Not sure if you're referring to my wheels, but if you are then thank you :) I personally don't think you'd be able to get away with running them up front, but i'm not 100% sure on that.

TragicallyHip is correct. You will not be able to fit the wheel up front without major handling and turning issues. If you are 9.5 or 10" in the rear, you should really go staggered fitment.

Some staggered sizes are:

8.5 F /9.5 R
8.5 F/ 10 R
9 F / 10.5 R

The offset of the wheel will determine fitment under the fender. 9.5" with +35 min or 10" with +40 should be fine in the rear with 245/255/265 tires. 275s should be reserved for higher offsets (+45 or more).

IMO, if you can't get a nice wide lip in the back or want your tires to look beefier, then staggered may not be for you. I always thought the 8 had too skinny of a tire in the rear. Some people prefer to rotate their tires (can't do that with staggered)

Also, check out this post https://www.rx8club.com/showthread.p...65#post2436365 A 9" F / 10.5" R with 41/42 offsets seem to clear, but not without stretching what looks to be 245s in the rear to clear that fender! May have rolled it to...perhaps a bit of camber.

Yea I am referring to your wheels they are sweet! I am just not sure If I want to run staggered, I like the idea of keeping 18x9.5 +35 on all corners

Actually I looked at alveoutofhabit's car and he was running 18x9.5 +35 all around. He said his rears rubbed when running 245/40/18. I wonder if 225/45/18 will rub?

Hi,

Was wondering if Volk GTS front 19x8.5 +34 offset, 245/35/19 and rear 19x9.5 +37 offset 265/30/19 will fit? Would I be required to roll the rear guards? Can I do a full lock turn without the tyres touching?

Thanks

18x8.5 35 MM offset all around...will this work? Which is the best tires setup if it does? I'm new at the whole wheel thing...searched and couldn't find if this would work

Both of these wheels should fit and not rub, but close. Depends on your drop.

Will be fine. I'd do 245/40/18 all the way around then. If you want a more Euro look, then stretch the tires a bit more and go 225 or 235.

Anyone know if I can run 18x9.5 +35 on all 4 corners? Sry to be a pest but I would like to know for sure before I order.

keennee 05-01-2008 03:54 PM

would a 44 offset all around fit?

Perodogo 05-01-2008 05:27 PM

Okay guys, no one answered my question. Please if anyone can help, I would appreciate some advise. Thanks.

Will work in the rear with a 255/265 tire, but not the front. Use a 18x8.5 or 18x9 with either 235 or 245 up front. +35 would be ok.

If you want the same +44 rim all the way around, I'd do 18x8.5 or 18x9 or 19x8.5 or 19x9 with 245 if you want to rotate.

Ok, I didn't see my setup so I'll throw it out there. I have 18X8.5 +44. I would like to get the same size tire all around. thinking of 255/40/18. Anyone?

Bob

Thanks for your help. How close is the 9.5 +35 from fitting in the front? I was thinking of running 225/45/18's on those rims so I could get the 18x9.5 +35s on all 4 corners..

What's the wheel size?

Should be OK. Tire will bulge out from the wheel a bit though.

You can chance it. The wheel will be flush with the mid to outer fender though. Dropping the car will exasperate your steering and performance even more! Not recommended.
