If you knew how much shit I was putting up with at school at the same time you would be really impressed. I guess I just like helping people

Nikesoccer22-If you get the tires I told you, then it will fit perfectly fine and you will have nothing to worry about.
mtellam-You tell us what size tire you would like to run and we will tell you the offset you should choose......or vice versa. |

Treitz- it's very likely they will fit but find out the offset width and bolt pattern.
Silvrstreak- there is a guy running the 8.5 +30 called shinjin-kun. Look up the pictures. 245/40 is the tire size I would suggest. That should fit on all 4 perfectly fine I am also wondering if they will look weird with stock suspension? Mess my ride height up or anything. |
yeah J, you have wayyyyy more patience than i do...props to you. :smoker:
|
what do you guys think of starting up a thread with pictures of different tires/widths on different sized rims to like show off what different stretches look like.
I can imagine the hate it will generate, but it is really an important component that I don't think most people buying wheels consider when they are thinking about just width/offset. |
on second thought f it
|
yeah...some tires have been known to run a lil' more slim and some a lil' thicker in appearance. The stretch on a t1r may look more stretched than say on a Azeni or KDW.
That one thread - The It DID Fit thread - was pretty promising - too bad everybody over looked it :icon_no2: I was thinking of recreating the thread n' monitoring it and posting links to pic's of each fitment that was posted in the thread. lots of work tho...i'd need to be REALLY bored... |
I was thinking more along the lines of protecting the secrets of fitment but ya

I am pretty sure the bolt pattern is correct, just not sure about the width or off set yet. Once I find out I will let you know.

19s will work too with the same offsets. 45mm would allow you to run wider tires but would not be as flush with the fenders. Another option is the 19x9.5 in 45 or 35 offset. Those would need a 265/30 or 275/30. 19x9.5 +35 with the wide tires would need a fender roll especially if you are lowered.
|
I have 40mm offset 19in wheels and 245/35 tires. I was thinking about running a 5mm spacer all around. I am on stec's so I am a tad lower.
I know this will fit, and I am even 83% certain I wouldn't have to roll the fenders. My question is more along the lines of fitting the 5mm spacers on our studs. Do they fit without needing to change out the studs? I know I never want to even mess with the rear studs  |
5mm spacers are fine on stock studs. I can't say about rubbing since you didn't say the width
|
depends on the type of spacers you get
if you get the ichiba v2 the spacers have the studs on them already. You just have to make sure that the hubs of your wheels have the space for the OE studs to fit underneath. |
alright, thanks man
hey whats the difference in running the 18s and 19s im new to the tires and wheels part so besides the obvious...ride height any change in performance, mpg, etc??? |
they are 19x8
|
Silvrstreak-ride height will be the same but the ride will be a little stiffer since there will be less tire sidewall. Mpg will go down ever so slightly since the tires will be wider.
Rwd- you won't rub |
alright thanks j
