That's what I have in the rear with 245/40 and I still rub with rolled fenders/partially shaved tabs (sometimes). I am gonna try 265/35 next time though after I do some more inner fender work. I'm at a little less than a finger width gapwise and about -2.3ish camber.

Atilla 08-27-2010 06:31 PM

you rubbing on the inside plastics right?

J8635621 08-27-2010 06:34 PM

I need to shave the tab down more. Pretty sure anyways. I have driven my car like 30 miles in the past month.

So if i'm running normal camber then no rub, right? Wheel talk is so confusing.

Atilla 08-27-2010 06:42 PM

what suspension? OEM?

j: you're rubbing at the tab?? hmm interesting.

map 08-27-2010 06:43 PM

OEM but i have RB springs to put on, those are mild though

J8635621 08-27-2010 07:49 PM

It will be past the fenders on RB springs. I'd say don't do it.

Yea I rub on the tab. It was worse before I filed it down a little bit. With the tab gone I'm thinking the wider tires will sit perfect. It will be a while before I change up anything though. School ftl

So Gram Lights 57D 18x9.5 +22 or +38 Offset?... Definitely need to roll fenders with +22 but what about +38?...Want to go 18x9.5 on all four corners, would there be any problems rubbing on the front fender well when turning? What tire size would you guys recommend? I'm also lowered on Tanabe GF210's.

Has anyone seen both of these offsets of the 57D's, is there any difference in the concavity of the face of the wheel?

Thanks

J8635621 08-28-2010 05:22 PM

+22 is gonna seriously limit the width of tire you can run (like a 245/40 or so unless you get a pull or run a good bit of negative camber). +38 will allow a 275/35 with rolled fenders. I have no clue on the concavity.

I'm looking at some 18x8's, would I be ok with a 25mm offset or should I go with the 35mm to be safe?

J8635621 08-29-2010 12:14 PM

what size tire do you want to run?

Yea I figured +22 is too aggressive, so with rolled fenders 18x9.5 +38 with a 275/35 all around I should be fine, no rubbing on the inner fender well front or rear or front when turning?

Thanks

^The rear will rub on the plastic tab covering the screw for the bumper...You'll see.

Off-Topic question but I need to know the answer ASAP:

Can XXR 006 Wheels fit on a Corvette?

The sizes are 18 x 8.5 front and 18 x 9.5 rear. Offset is +35. The bolt pattern is 5x114.3/5.120.

The stock bolt pattern for a Corvette is 5 x 120.7.

Yep that is quite possible as well. It shouldn't require much plastic to be removed though if it happens.

Front –

18x9 + 20

325/45-18

Rear –

18x10 + 16

235/40-18

On tein s-techs. Rubbing issues?

The Reverend 08-29-2010 11:15 PM

you will need a good roll and to grind some of the inside of the fenders down

kgizzle 08-30-2010 01:05 AM

Any way to lessen the rubbing?

J8635621 08-30-2010 08:11 AM

Yea do what he said lol. Also the 225/45 in the front is too tall. I don't make up hellaflush fitments so you have to figure out the tire that will work

m.morales84 08-30-2010 02:50 PM

hey i can't figure out!!!! this will fit???????
19x8.5 20mm offset front
19x10 20mm offset rear

235/35/19 front
265/30 /19 rear

if not what type of tire will work or i need different offset????

The Reverend 08-30-2010 03:14 PM

hmm thats gonna be tough not too sure on fitting 19s compared to 18s

you may be able to get away with just a roll and some camber for the fronts. for the rears you will need a roll, grind tabs way down and possibly a pull for 265s

The Reverend 08-30-2010 03:15 PM

can i ask what wheels?

m.morales84 08-30-2010 03:40 PM

sure they are yoshi st-6 stern wheels!!

m.morales84 08-30-2010 03:49 PM

any ideas what i can do???

The Reverend 08-30-2010 03:51 PM

well the specs you posted CAN work but will take a lot of effort on your part to make them fit

a higher 30s/40s offset would be much easer and just need a roll most likely
