Jaimiesix he is on the forums and told us about the article before it came out. I think the offset is in that thread. Why not get 17s if you are all about performance? Performance is best with smaller diameter, wider wheels with an offset close to 50. Enkei rpf1 in 18x9.5 +45 is a widely popular choice.

On a similar note just pick the 18x9.5 +43. Run a 275/35 and be done with it.

Moonkid I'd think it would work but not look good unless you were even lower and ran 245s similar to imputs old setup.

Wanting to buy Rota P45r's. I have two sizes which I found but I'm not too familiar with ideal fitment on our cars. My goal with the tire/wheel combo is to get a nice aggressive stance with no rubbing issues and accurate to stock overall sizes to have accurate speedo reads. Currently stock suspension but planning to drop eventually on Racing Beat springs.

1. 18x9.5 +20 offset
vs
2. 18x9.5 +30 offset

Tires undecided since honestly I will take your guys' advice on which tire size would be the overall most ideal. Thanks in advance!

Here's the link if it helps:

I'd go +30, will end up being a lot safer (if you don't wanna roll, etc), and you can run a meatier tire.

The +20 would look better.... LOL

265 is a lot of tire for a non-FIed car....

Gas Mileage......going doooooown!

LOL - I'd do a 245 or 255 if your all motor.

Dropped on rb springs = not for aggressive wheel fitments. It will look like poopoo. With all the stuff so far you will probably need to grind the bumper mounting tab down also. I have 9.5 +28 with 245/40 and it rubs there.

Hi.

Peter Tarach replied. He is also a member here, he has a thread about his project. Very cool.

The right offset seems to be +35. Thanks Pete.!!!

Here I share his reply:
Hi Jaime,

Sorry I didn't include the offset in the first RX-8 story. That was pretty boneheaded of me. The offset of the VR.G2's on the RX-8 is +35, which is just about the limit in terms of clearing the factory fenders without any drama. Any less offset and you'll end up having to roll the rear fenders, especially if you've lowered your 8's ride height fairly aggressively. I did end up rolling the rear fenders on my 8, just to ensure plenty of clearance since I have lowered the car a fair bit, but this was just a precautionary measure. You shouldn't need to roll the fenders with this offset.

For more pictures of these wheels and some updates on the RX-8's build, feel free to follow along on the thread I've started over on RX8club.com. There are some good sneak peeks here at what we're working on next with the 8:

https://www.rx8club.com/rx-8-racing-25/modified-mag-rx-8-project-car-stx-here-i-come-197337/

Here's a few pics where you can better see how the offset looks on the 8. As you can see they're quite flush with the fenders. I think for a daily driven car that sees a fair bit of track duty the offset is perfect. I get A LOT of compliments on these wheels where ever I go, so I think you'll be very happy with them if you decide to buy a set for your 8. The Bridgestone RE11 tires have also been a great option as a street/track tire. They've proven very durable during extending lapping sessions and multiple autocross events and are a nice quiet/smooth tire on the street. The only knock on these tires would be their wet performance, which isn't quite as good as some other extreme (140 UTQG) summer tires I've tested.

You would need to roll your fenders and run stretched tires. Something like 225s in front and 245s in the back. It's rather aggressive so the wheels will be outside the fenders unless you have copious amounts of negative camber and the car is nearly lowered to the ground.

Thanks all for the replies, although it has left me even more confused lol

So just to clarify, there would be no benefit to get stock size tires of 225/45/18 for my Rotas?

Quick question. I have 255s all the way round on stock wheels with s techs and koni yellows. I would like to put some 25mm wheels spacers all the way around. Would this fit?

Roll your fenders and expect your tires to rub the front fender liner away is the not quick answer. It should fit though.

Got a quote for WORK Emotion XT7, 18x8.5 +25mm offset, for $1399. Is that offset too low though? I have RB springs and 235 tires.

Decently aggressive. Roll your fenders. Rb springs may not be low enough for it to look good.

I was looking at getting the WedsSport SA55M/BBM.
http://www.ravspeconline.com/shop/ca...ufacturers_id=

I was wondering if 18x9 +36 offset with 255/40R18 would fit all the way around without any mods.

Thanks
