How do you expect anyone to know if those will fit? Well technically they will since you can put a skinnier tire for sure but those are totally the wrong size. Look up how tire profiles work. Other guy-225/50 will fit but unless they were free I wouldn't do it. 245/40 is the tire to put on the stock rims.

Atilla where is that spreadsheet?

We at least need a set of questions that need answered before someone can ask. I'll work on that later.

1. Is the car an rx8? If no, go somewhere else.
2. Is the car not stock height? If no, then explain.
3. Have the fenders been modified in any way? If no, are you willing to modify the fenders?
4. Please state wheel width, offset, and diameter.
5. Please state the proposed tire width and profile.
6. Is the hub size 67.1mm or larger?
7. Is the bolt pattern 5x114.3 aka 5x4.5"?

From now on, you must answer all those questions or I will tell you to go screw yourself.

If I forgot an important question, please let me know.

My altruism is almost worn out. I almost don't even care if they search anymore. I just want decently formed, coherent, and RX8 relevant questions. Is that too much to ask for?

1. 2006 Shinka RX8 6 Speed
2. Stock Height

3. Fenders Stock, Prefer not to modify
4. Stock 18 wheels.
5. Stock tire size 225/45/18
6. Stock hub
7. stock bolt

I am putting winters on my stock wills, and with such a shortage, I have found a set of toyos in size 225/50/18 that are significantly cheaper then the oe size. Also, with a higher side wall I will gain a little ground clearance. Will the 225/50/18 fit with out rubbing?

Car height: dropped about 1.5 front and back on tein s.techs and koni yellows
Fenders have not been rolled
Stock hub/bolt
The wheels I am looking at are: 18" x 8.5" +50

Will the stock 225/45 be good on those, or would I be better off going with something like a 245/40 or even 255/40?

245/40 is a definite but 255/40 may work also. I steer away from it because it may be a little tall in front. PS you arent lowered 1.5 in the back

Honestly, the drop should be 1.4" front and .7" rear, but since you have it paired with Koni's it is even more than that. It's probably 1.6" and .9" approximately. I'd say the struts give another .25-.5" drop.

Excuse my ignorance please, I'm new to this.
1. 2005 Stock RX8
2. Currently stock height, will plan on dropping it in future
3. Fenders have not been rolled, would not mind doing so
4. 17in STi BBS wheels from an 05, so they are the correct 5x114.3, 53+ offset, and an 8in wheel.
5. please list possible tire sizes (if the wheel even fits at all)
6. unknown
7. 5x114.3

If the hub is greater than or equal to 67.1mm then its basically stock sized. 245/45/17 is the tire you should probably get

dumb question j just looking for some clarification but if the hub bore is larger than 67.1 is that okay to run then? does that just mean it is not hubcentric?

Rev that's exactly what it means. You can get metal rings to fill up the difference. I have some but never put them on and never had a problem.

Alice I'm pretty sure you missed a question. Anyways yes they will fit fine with a 275/30/19 tire. May have to roll the fenders a tiny bit
