you are better off using the stocks for spirited and the enkeis in that size for daily that is not a performance size for us

you may have to get some +42s or 45s and powdercoat them

Update on my question if y'all don't mind.

Landed on this combo, and want to know if it would be the right setup considering I will be running N/A with basic bolt on upgrades, full aero lip kit, dropped on tein s techs.

18x9.5 +30 offset (Rota p45r's yamaha black w/red lip, not that the color matters :0)
245/45/18 tires.

My thought process was the meatier tires will add to a little bit more of an aggressive look with the tein springs while not having too drastic of a speedometer variance. Also I wanted to avoid any clearance issues like rubbing without rolling. Will this setup work?

^^ i am running 18x9.5 +25 mm offset with 245/45/18 on S.techs and i had to do a fair amount of work to get them not to rub. the day i put them on i could barely get the car home they were rubbin so bad. but all said and done im so glad i got them. my car has a pretty aggressive "looking" stance. that being said yours are +30 so it may help a bit.

245/45? No thanks. I have 9.5 +28 with 245/40 and I HAD to roll the fenders and trim the plastic on the inside of rear fenders. When it was +33, it rubbed on the plastic but not the fender without rolled fenders.

So should I just stay 225/45 lol?

No. You should roll your fenders and have wider tires.

How wide would you suggest?

255/40 or 265/35 but yeh roll ur fenders unless ur gonna slam it no need to run that 245/40 stretch

245's on a 9.5" wide rim is about the same stretch of 255's on a 10" rim; both are the suggested max per tire calculator reference so a 245 will do fine. If you get a 255/40, be prepared for a shit load more of modding the car than you would for most sizes due to a wider tire plus the circumference is about dead on with the stock 225's, especially if you're lowered. I'm talking grinding some sheet metal underneath the front fender and working on the plastic fender liner. I would suggest if you go wider to get 265/35 instead. If I had 9.5's, I'd stick with 245's tbh.

2tone has those exact rims with 275/35. Look into it. I also don't suggest 255/40.

It won't work. Trust us. You will have to do way more than roll your fenders.

Depends on the amount of work you are willing to put into it. S-techs are soft and you will need to grind the bumper tab all the way down and a few other small things to run a 265/35. 245/40 will just require a little bit of tab grinding if any. http://www.flickr.com/photos/j863562...7623744260352/ The last 4 pictures have wheel/tire specs and the first ones are 9.5+33 front and 9.5 +28 back with 245/40. Maybe that will help. I'm a little lower than s-techs I think.

They are actually the stiffest lowering spring available for the RX-8.

Still soft though. I haven't looked at the specs lately but progress tech might be stiffer.

Hey guys i need a quick answer ASAP. Im swapping out wheels in like 15 minutes. Will 245 45 18 tires fit on stock rx8 suspension without rubbing. I just got g35 wheels with that tire size and im getting them swapped soon. I put the g35 rims side by side with my rx8 rims and it looks like its going to rub, Answer needed ASAP LOL

Yea but never lower your car with that size.

Pure assumption btw. There are quite a few g35 wheels.

^btw i asked that quesiton because the tires that came with them are 245 and im putting those on so that when i swap out those tires for my winters i wont have room for my rx8 rims+tires PLUS the 245 tires. I could make 2 trips but i figure jsut switch wheels and leave my rx8 wheels at home so i can just bring back the 245 tires when im done the swap.

Honestly you should put the winters on the 8 wheels and use the g35 wheels for summers. Look better and arent thinner wheels better for snow?

I was planning the same thing. But i love my 8 rims and dont really wanna have them go thruogh harsh winters. Even though i do think g35 rims are better looking. But anything "RX8" i wanna try to keep in perfect condition LOL.

As for thinner tires better for snow. Thats correct but both my summers and winters are 225 45 18. Reason is so that i can swap out my g35 rims tires for my rx8 rims if i do chooose to use my 8 rims for winterr and g35 rims for summer in the future.

Ok so im currently running some Work CR Kai 18 x 9.5 there wraped in 255/40 but I lowered a while back and to stop rubbing the guy stiffened the coilovers right up so without any fender rolling I was wondering if there is maybe a better suiting tyre size.

Yea roll your fenders and get 275/35.
