I'm trying to avoid fender rolling tbh

J8635621 10-19-2010 10:31 AM

Why? It's not hard or expensive and it gives considerably more room. If you don't want to rub and you dont want to roll your fenders, then get a thinner tire like 245/40. I know from personal experience that it will not rub.

You do know that what you're rolling is really the material bent inward from the outside of the fender itself right? So you're not really bending any of the fender that was painted itself. The only thing you should be worried about is spider cracks in the paint where the bend is which can be controlled by using a heat gun prior to each time you use the roller. I did mine on my own with a heat gun and roller and had no spider cracks form in the paint. Just take your time with it to get it done right.

slvrstreak 10-19-2010 11:53 AM

ill be sure to do that
thanks for the advice

You'll be fine in the front but you will need to roll your rear's. You wont hit that tab I dont think (with just stechs).

18x8 (5x114.3+40mm, 73.1 Hub) what about these ? Axis Excite wheels :s will they sit flush

What is the best tire size/width I can put on those ?

J8635621 10-19-2010 01:58 PM

Very weak offset not flush. You can run 335/30s. JK about the tire

Those will look stock, as stock wheel size is 18x8 +50.

c0ldf1ame 10-19-2010 08:26 PM

does anyone know exactly how much clearance is needed for oem brake caliphers?

TopGear8 10-19-2010 08:29 PM

Really depends on the wheel design..What wheel are you looking at?

c0ldf1ame 10-19-2010 08:47 PM

i guess the term is pad thickness, trying to figure out minimum pad length needed

c0ldf1ame 10-20-2010 02:29 AM

 drinking solves all my problems

RotaryTherapy 10-20-2010 01:49 PM

Which offset would make my wheels sit flush ?

J8635621 10-20-2010 01:51 PM

Jesus have mercy

The Reverend 10-20-2010 01:52 PM

depending on your definition of "flush", the tires you run and the camber settings anywhere from +25 to -500

RotaryTherapy 10-20-2010 02:48 PM

Lol ... I'm sorry but I'm being quite lazy today .... ugh cant decide whether to get the OZ Racing Aggellerita HLT in Red or XXR's .... lol
