So would this look "bad" without coilovers? I'm don't know too much about them, but I'm assuming I would need more than a basic coilover that only adjusts ride height, right?

20mm spacers would make it just slightly more aggressive than Ross_Dawgs current setup (and similar to Sifu's SSRs) and he just went from s-techs to coilovers + spacers. He knows exactly what you are talking about and can help you. I'd recommend coilovers so you can lower the car more before the bigger spacers to complete the look. I don't think it will look good otherwise.

As far as coilovers, pretty much any of them will work. The only thing beyond height adjustment they give (as far as wheel fitment) is they make it stiffer. Get some good ones though so you don't regret getting crappy ones and waste even more money and time.

PS I only helped you because I started to help you way back when and I will see it through I guess. I'm not gonna resubscribe to this thread however and deal with the new guys who must be trolling and/or retarded, so send me PMs or something if you need my help anymore. Ross_dawg should be more knowledgeable for that particular situation though.

grog if you are that obsessed with the stanced look coilovers is the way to go. I was on konis+tanabes with 18x10 +30 and it looked GREAT and it was low but it was not "stanced". and a LOT easier to drive around lol

spacers would be fine but you really need coilovers or you just cant go low enough

^2 cents

good luck tho its a fun project

This isn't a civic forum. The car would be low with weak spring rates and low offset wheels. That's a recipe for disaster. amb temp

Just save up to buy coilovers. No use buying springs if your just going to get coils in a few months anyway.

Rims would be ...
F: 19x8.5 + 30
R: 19x10 + 38

Tires would be ...
F: 225/40R19
R: 245/40R19

The rear is like almost a full inch higher than stock so I guess I'd have to roll em, but the front should be good.

Much camber needed with a decent drop on coilovers?

Is there a size tire for 18x8.5 +20mm wheels that will fit my rx8 all around without any modifications? My rx8 is completely stock.

Thanks

Don't do it. Too low of an offset to pull off on stock height. You would have seen that answer at least 5 times if you had tried to search this thread.

He means 275/30 in the rear. No reason to run stretched tires if you don't have to.

1. Is the car an rx8? If no, go somewhere else.
2. Is the car not stock height? If no, then explain.
3. Have the fenders been modified in any way? If no, are you willing to modify the fenders?
4. Please state wheel width, offset, and diameter.
5. Please state the proposed tire width and profile.
6. Is the hub size 67.1mm or larger?
7. Is the bolt pattern 5x114.3 aka 5x4.5"?

From now on, you must try to answer all those questions.
