Look at my rims/tires next time. I have 9.5 +28 in the back with 245s. I think 265s would sit really nice but it might require a tiny pull and the bumper tabs would have to be worked on. 245/35 for the front.

Yep, I'm sure the wheels will look nice but the fitment will just look wierd.

Thank you, yep, 275/30. Will look really good!

Ah, now I see what you need, sorry about that.

F: 245/35 will fit no problems

R: Yeah 265's would be the best fitting, but may require more camber or fender work, where a 255/35 would be able to help with that problem.

they dont make 255/30 plus that would be way too small profile

Also, if you get 265's, they will be a 35 profile as well

Disk Type - C is a "low disk" type - ie you get the maximum lippage for the offset. You will also have less room for brake calipers compared to A and B Disks.

The offset colums show the offset ranges - for example look at 18x9.5 with B disk face:

0 offset will result in a lip that is 104 millimeters (lip measurements are in the parentheses)
+42 offset will result in 62mm lip

So for gram lights you can pretty much choose ANY offset that is within the Custom Offset range

as far as what will fit for you read the rest of the thread

Ive been thinking about trying out a set of 17x8 wheels because they are very light and would make it easier to lower my 8 alot without worry about rubbing. Does anyone know if there would be any disadvantages to this? Ive read about it some and it sounds like they should clear my stock brake setup fine.

ditto. rears will rub; a roll will help but for heavy cornering or full load you will need a slight pull too. fronts would be fine obviously

You would need to get your rear fenders rolled. Use Google if you need to know what that entails. You may also need a slight pull on your fender (again, Google, if I've lost you) to allow the 275 tire to sit without any additional camber.

ha ha, so true, i don't frequent this as much as some of you guys, but its amazing how many times the same things get asked...like, what is the point of having all these pages if no one reads them??

i think you were ok until you threw the word "camber" in there, that'll just add to the confusion fire!

Just a quick question, how many mm's wider do i want my tire to be compared to my rim? Stock R3s are 225mm on 8'' width rims. So I was just wondering what kind of range I had if I were to get 8.5/10 width rims.

Might probably get flamed but, can anyone tell me more on the following:

1) Will a 17x7 +50 mm wheel fit? Yes I know it's lame and tucked - don't ask why!

I came across another post where Ross Dawg had commented that a 17x7 +55 would fit?? I'm more worried about brake caliper clearance than anything else!

2) Will a 17x7.5 +38 mm with a 225/45-17 tyre fit w/o fender rolling?

I'm just looking at what options I have.........

The car is on stock suspension, and should remain that way for a long time.

1) Yes, as far as I know those rims will fit. I am sure those are about the sizes people use for winter wheels but I will wait for others to chime in...

2) That will fit no problem
