18x10 offset 25 tires 275/40/18 lowered 3" yea or no ?

And it'll take a good amount of work to fit the 275's.

275 seems like it would be overkill for an NA RX8. I'd think you'd start to slow down your corner exit speeds and rotation. No?

not to mention 10+25 isn't exactly the best racing offset choice.

17"x 9.5" ET30 255/40-17" R Comps (Wide) dropped almost max on KW V3, will it fit?

For racing it isn't the best setup (same goes for your ride height). 17x9.5 +45 would be better. That being said, I think you could make it work with likely compromises on alignment and fender rolling.. I don't really know how wide those tires are but they are shorter than stock and should fit. I don't run r-comps so it's just a guess.

well .5 to 1 inch can make all the difference..............so rounding up like that won't help anyone give you solid advice

yeah, and at the risk of sounding like a jerk, can't you go measure? i mean, that half inch may mean you cannot get 275's...so without knowing that we can't say "yes 275's will fit"...

fwiw, i'm lowered on stechs, less of a drop than you, and 275's rub on the rear with 9.5 +30 wheel.

im on bilstein coilovers so saying 3" to be on the safe side is not a big deal

Ok, so fender rolling is requried? The problem is that the rims im looking into to get as new track rims only comes in either ET12 & ET30 =(

With 9,5" and wide 255 isent inner clearance an problem with ET45? Just curious.

Why isnt it a good idea? bad Scrub radius?

My ride height is where it is for best compromise between ride height, CW & Roll Centre. it isent slammed but pretty low.

Fender rolling is 100% required. Probably best to pick a different rim. 9.5 +45 has no inner clearance problems even with 285s afaik. It is the most common wheel setup on these forums for good reason.

scrub radius is bad and pretty sure it's unanimous around here that more than an 1" or so of lowering does more harm than good. That type of stuff is more for the racing section and I don't venture to that part of the forum much. I'm sure someone there could help you.

It's possible to make it fit with a fender pull and maxed out camber. That
being said, it's pretty freaking aggressive and I don't suggest it.

Look at the aggressive fitment thread to put into perspective how that would look. TBK is sorta close to that and he posted pictures pretty recently.

Yeah, if I remember correct lower ET will give Negative Scrub Radius and to mutch is not good.

Ok so ET45 and 9,5" is ok, thats the info I was looking for. Rolling fenders is unnececery if it could be avoided. I couldnt care less for hella flush or what the kids call it these days

EDIT: took a look at it again and I think ET30 will improve scrub radius and would be a quite good choise if it wasent for fender works.

245/45/18 on stock oem wheels and stock oem springs (no drop). i understand 245/40/18 is the better choice per overall diameter, but I am limited in selection since i am buying used until i get a whole new set.

does this rub anywhere (wheel well plastic)?

recently i had mounted 225/55/17 which is .77" greater in diameter and that rubbed on the plastic in the wheel well. 245/45/18 is .71" greater. There is hardly a difference from .77" to .71", but then again, the rub from the 17" might have been offset related as well.

also, if i were to get a drop of ~1.2", would that still be alright.

Fastlaneracing-look back over scrub radius. Pretty sure keeping the offset close to +50 is optimal.

so im back with pics and questions.

Five:AD S5F
18x8.5 +20 all around
255/40/18 all around [didnt feel like buying new ones to stretch]

i am rubbing on the front fenders, i dont think its the actual fenders but the fender liner. what can i do here? [only happens on some dips]

also i already have had my rear fenders rolled, so the only thing its hitting is the rear bumper tab. i can just cut up to the point that the tire is rubbing, or would it be a good idea to cut it even further?

i was able to trim the bumper tab, so it is not rubbing anymore.

but as for the front fenders, i was rubbing parts of the fender liner, so i took it out. [didnt feel like cutting it]

but i have another problem. now i am hitting the bare metal at the back of the fender [horizontal piece]
