True but you won't have fender liner issues. tilt was running that a while back

tiptoe 01-10-2011 05:17 PM

Will go the +35. Don't like watching guards being pulled so don't want to do that to my car.

tiptoe 01-10-2011 05:18 PM

Thanks guys

Ross_Dawg 01-10-2011 05:38 PM

No problem :) Be sure to post pics if you get them.

Just wanted to say thanks for the help. I ended up going with 18x9.5 +30 all around on 265/35 tires.

J8635621 01-12-2011 08:22 PM

You will need rolled fenders and shave the plastic bumper tab in the back! edit: Post some pictures ASAP

We'll see :suspect:

J8635621 01-12-2011 09:48 PM

You told him that for +35. He got +30. I have 245s and rub there at +28. Maybe I'm a freak.

Ross_Dawg 01-13-2011 08:43 AM

Oops just saw that, lol. Yeah +30 will need rolled rears and tab.

larkin 01-14-2011 12:27 AM

Those will fit but won't be much fun without tires.

Other guy-I don't have snow so I can't tell you. Find out the offset though.

What's the offset? They should fit fine if the offset is +40 or lower. Both center bore's are the same at 67.1.

Tire offset is 45. Is that a no go as well as the EVO wheels?

thanks

Domdil 01-15-2011 12:23 PM

Which tire size would I need to run with 17" Wheels that have a 40 mm offset? the car will be lowered a bit on mazdaspeed suspension.
Thanks!

Ross_Dawg 01-15-2011 12:32 PM

What are the width of the wheels?

J8635621 01-15-2011 12:59 PM

Also be more specific than Mazdaspeed suspension. Is it the strut/spring combo or the coilovers? If it is the coilovers say how much lower you are or show a picture.

Snow tire guy, I'm not sure what to tell you with regards to if those fit or not. Maybe ask someone with a lot of posts from Canada or something? lol

Domdil 01-15-2011 01:00 PM

oops, they are 17x7

J8635621 01-15-2011 01:07 PM

Are those for snow tires too? If so, I don't think anyone that frequents this thread can help you. It's brake clearance that bothers me more than anything else. I know 18x10.5 +43 fits fine so 17x7 +40 should clear by inches on the inside and outside.

It means the wheel face will be 8mm closer to your brakes than OEM. Go measure on the OEM wheels the distance between the brake caliper and the wheel face. If it's more than 8mm then those wheels will fit.
