Im telling you what will fit, if you want to put 275's on a 10.5 +22 then by all means go for it and find out for yourself what fits and what doesnt :)

Rotary-RX8 02-24-2011 10:19 PM

255 it is i guess. Thanks bro

J8635621 02-24-2011 10:21 PM

What suspension setup do you have?

Rotary-RX8 02-24-2011 10:23 PM

Stock right now but ill be getting coilovers later on. Probably summer of next year.

J8635621 02-24-2011 10:24 PM

So you are going to use this setup at stock height till then?

Rotary-RX8 02-24-2011 10:27 PM

^Thats the plan. Depending on how much money i have this summer i might even lower the car first then get the wheels. ill have to see.

Did you see the part where you will NEED to be low on coilovers, PULLED fenders, and a good bit of camber for that work? Stock height will look AWFUL.

Aggressive wheels setups + stock height = wheels way outside the fenders

Sorry if I came off as rude, but j8 and I have gone over this a thousand times...

Check out willtheyfit.com to see fitment info vs what we know works with what mods.

Rotary-RX8 02-24-2011 11:01 PM

No worries bro. I guess i should have done a bit more research on my part. As for slamming the car first, i think youre right i should get my coilovers first before getting the rims. Thanks for help guys appreciate it.

Ross_Dawg 02-24-2011 11:09 PM

Try to find some used coilovers on the cheap, especially if it's mostly for looks

Will it fit?

Im looking at the is rims for my 2004 rx8 and the measurements is Bolt pattern 5/114.3 and Offset is 40. Will they fit both the front and rear without sidewall rubbing? If not what measurements do I need to have to get the rim to fit? Thanks

Lol.

You need to follow the rules..Wheel Diameter (F/R)
Wheel Width (F/R)
Wheel Offset (F/R)
Suspensions Changes (i.e. - how low are you dropped. If you have coilovers... you dont need to post this as you can just adjust it after you get your wheels on.
Also if you like, if you have a set of tires in mind.. post up the specs to that as well
(W/P/D)

Hi, I am new to tire sizing so I need some advice. I want to buy a new set of wheels for my 2004 rx8 which has stock everything (No after market body kit).

I was thinking 18" or 19" wheels with tire width of 8.5" in front and 10.5" in back. I want an offset that will give me more of an aggressive look, so it should be around +20, correct. Specifically I am looking at Five:AD S5:F wheels and I like how they look when they have a little concave look.

Can anyone make any recommendations, specifically on the tire offset?

What about the offset +40?

Also what about a +38, does it matter?

StealthTL 02-26-2011 05:54 PM

Yes, it matters, but 2mm is less than a tenth of an inch......

Red stuff : Does not compute

Black stuff : Staggered = stupid, 10.5 = stupid, +20 = stupid, no question mark

Green stuff: no such thing

You will have no problems fitting those even with a 285/35/18 tire.

Ross_Dawg 02-26-2011 06:52 PM

I don't know why people are jumping on the wide wheels bandwagon without having coilovers first... it's stupid.
