might be a horrible question but need to knoe if they will fit i got tein stechs
thanks

255/35/19 is about the widest you can go for the rears to fit (with rolled fenders and camber) for the 10.5 +26.

Rotary-RX8 03-07-2011 05:42 PM

Different set up i might be looking at.

19 x 10 +35 all around. 265 or 275 in rears ?? Going to be lowered on Stance coilovers.

Sorry if its been asked.

Jedi54 03-07-2011 05:43 PM

19x10 +35 in the front? :Eyecrazy:

Rotary-RX8 03-07-2011 05:45 PM

^ Sorry im new to wheel fitments lol. But i was told 19x9.5 +22 in the front would fit fine with 245s with a slight roll and camber. So i was assuming 19x10 +35 would be alright lol. :dunno:

The Reverend 03-07-2011 05:46 PM

265 all around

roll hard

Rotary-RX8 03-07-2011 05:48 PM

Its a tough choice right now.

I can either go 19x9.5 +22 all around with 245s (Volk Ce28n Genesis :Drooling_ )

or

19x10 +35 all around with 265 or 275 (Advan RS)

Im trying to go non staggered to be able to rotate tires and last my tires longer.

Quick quesiton, would running 10 with 265 or 275 all around affect the steering at all ?

What size rims/tires you running Rev ?? Your look is what im shooting for but i dont want to sacrifice performance, if any at all is sacrificed.

The Reverend 03-07-2011 06:05 PM

im 18x10 +15

if you want performance go for the 18s

others will disagree and may very well be right, but imo the performance with this setup is not the same or even close to an autocrossing/conservative wheel setup, for the simple fact that unless you really pull or flare your fenders you are going to rub on any fast & hard cornering. hell i engaged tcs the other night accelerating to like 40 on a gentle curved road lol

J8635621 03-07-2011 06:17 PM

Fwiw I want to run pretty much that setup with 275s. I might go with 10.5 all around instead though.

this could be possible but not with 275's. I run 19x10+42 with 275's in the rear, it needed the fenders rolled but I'm able to run a mild camber setting.
If you try and run the +35 you'll need a very aggressive roll and depending on how low you go with those coilovers, you might need some aggressive negative camber which negates the whole tire life aspect of your requst.

Rotary-RX8 03-07-2011 06:31 PM

^ thanks for the input Jedi :smoker:

Jedi54 03-07-2011 06:35 PM

as far as the fronts, hopefully someone else can chime in but 19" + 275 + coilovers + front fenders usually = :nono:

J8635621 03-07-2011 07:06 PM

I have faith it could work if you are willing to do the work. I don't think it would be crazy. It won't be plug and play either.

sickman 03-07-2011 07:07 PM

Ok, I know the tire sizes I will be asking about will fit, but I was hoping I can get some opinions from you guys.

Here is my issue. I'm getting a new set of wheels - 18x10 +36. I have some 5 mm spacers from a past set and I'll probably just throw those on as well to push the wheels a bit further out. I'm just torn on what size tire to go with.

My suspension setup is d-specs with tein s-tech springs. Rear fenders are rolled. The s-tech springs sit a little higher in the rear so I'm concerned about wheel gap. Should I go with 245/40/18 or 265/35/18? I'd prefer to go with the 265's but I'm just worried that the lower profile is going to leave me with more wheel gap and make the rear appear as if it's sitting even higher. 265's are about a 1/2 inch shorter in overall diameter.

I know the 245's will fill the wells out better but I don't know if I want that much stretch on the tires with an offset in the 30's. If I was running lower offsets then maybe, but I just don't see the need for that stretch with my setup.

Any thoughts on this would be much appreciated. Maybe there is a quality tire that runs pretty wide in 245 that I should be looking at?

Thanks.

J8635621 03-07-2011 07:11 PM

Remember 10.5 +43 with 275s has been run without even rolling the fenders.

04rx 03-07-2011 07:39 PM

wheels 17x9.75 +25
tires 255 40 17

it will work right

What do you mean by "work"? It won't fit on a stock 8 if that's what you're asking.

what?
who did that? On OEM suspension would be the only way I see this happening. (if then)

Nuke maybe... it was a WB. Not stock suspension. You know it's easier to fit aggressive wheels the lower you go...

Jedi54 03-07-2011 11:43 PM

Nuke runs 18's.
thought we were talking about 19's because that would have been a fun trick.

carry on...
