Here's the deal....you can get less camber than that pretty sure and 9.5 +30 with 275/35 can work if you get a fender pull in the back. I'm betting most of the other work has been done if you are running 9.5 +20 right now. Look at 2tone's rx8 that he recently sold. It was running 9.5 +30 with 275/35 all around and he hadn't gotten the rears pulled yet. +20 with 275s is a bit much imo and 265s all around with +30 is easily doable as well.

Sorry I forgot I have tein coilovers and I will go with 235/35 and 265/30 or245/35 275/30 thank you

J8635621 05-25-2011 05:52 AM

265/35 or 275/35 all around and roll the fenders PROBABLY. You need to say how much of a drop you have. Don't stagger the tires on a square setup. That's just retarded.

I don't rub any fenders, just the plastic tab in the rear. The B8's aren't soft.

Guys how bout this
All around 18x9.5 offset +20

Lowered with sprint springs 2 inches

Front tires 235/40/18?
Rear tires 245/40/18?

Let me know guys if these will fit...

Vlaze 05-25-2011 10:14 AM

You'll need to roll your fenders, shave the rear fender/bumper tab and depending on your camber, maybe a slight pull in the rear.

Unless you're aiming for some reasons of your own to run a 235 on the front, you're better off running 245 all around. 245 already is a slight stretch on a 9.5 rim, 235 even worst.

J8635621 05-25-2011 10:15 AM

and just do 245/40 all around

Wheel weight matters to ride quality as well.

That being said, for looks the RP03 comes in 19x9.5 +42 which will look much better.

I'm just gonna say Axis is not the best but if you really want it, someone else will help you.

Don't pick a wheel thinner than stock. That's just stupid. There isn't a good size of the ev5.

POST SUSPENSION SETUP

Sorry, my fault. I have stock suspension right now but I know I'll be putting springs on it soon after getting the wheels. I'm leaning towards Tanabe springs, just not sure what would be the better choice between GF or NF. They have the same drop but different rates.

The RP03 is definitely my top favorite. I just wish they weren't so pricey. Good call on the thinner than stock EV5.

So I guess the final question is:

Enkei rp03 19x9.5 +42
Tanabe springs

Will it fit?

J8635621 05-25-2011 10:27 AM

Yea with 275/30 or 265/30 all around

rx8bb6evo8 05-25-2011 11:26 AM

Forgot to mention i have my fender rolled already... Thanks in advance!!!

J8635621 05-25-2011 11:54 AM

Thanks in advance? We already answered

rx8bb6evo8 05-25-2011 11:54 AM

The reason why im putting a 235 is because my old set of tires have a 235 on it just thinking of using it for the mean time.

rx8bb6evo8 05-25-2011 11:55 AM

My bad my phone has some delays i didnt see your replies right away :)

J8635621 05-25-2011 12:05 PM

Well thats fine just gonna look a little sunk

Depends on the track honestly. Wider for shorter tracks with more corners. A lot of people say 245 R comps are the best for a track while people in autox will use 275 or 285s. That's for naturally aspirated of course. More power = more tire usually

Most tracks here are short or atleast the parts the public can use, ive been told 265/35 is good.

should also mention im lowered on coilovers (pretty low) my current rims are 9.5 offset +38 and the tyres are 255/40 .

J8635621 05-25-2011 12:46 PM

You probably aren't gonna get a much better answer in this thread on what tire you should run on the track than I gave you already. Ask in the racing section or something

You are in luck. There is a guy saying he is about to part out his car who has the 19" SBC Enkei RP03. https://www.rx8club.com/showpost.php...5&postcount=26 Tell him I should get a discount on his other parts for linking you to it. edit: he might have 8.5" in the front but I'm not sure. Either way it will fit and look pretty good. Probably the cheapest way to go.

Yeah the 275/30 will definitely help. The 35 profile is too large for a 20" wheel.

I'm saying to do what I told you (actually look at the tab and take a picture) and then..................we will discuss different sized tires. How did you determine that tire size anyways? It's probably going to involve you getting more negative camber in the rear.

Just thought I'd share with you guys that I decided to go with my gut.....and try 275/30/20 tires for the rear. It worked great as I now have no rubbing whatsoever on bumps, so adding negative camber was not necessary. However, I will add that the front driver side wheel (20x8.5 with 245/35/20 tire) slightly rubs on the plastic tab behind the wheel but I'm not worried about that.....the plastic should wear out overtime, and if not I will shave it a bit.

Suspension setup changes what fits for the last FREAKING TIME. /rant

Please for the love of god post your suspension setup (and how low you are on coilovers) when asking a question. That goes for everyone.

That's basically a stock fitment. It'll work.

Ok so say with stock suspension here is the rage that fits outside of that ask. It seems you spend a great deal of time answering questions and I bet that would only help you out. but you do how ever you want.

J8635621 05-26-2011 08:23 AM

I've done that. People don't read. I also had a form to fill out that mentioned all the variables so we could help more efficiently. People didn't use it.

Wow.....you are now even worst than us who chose to run 255/40/18 are with rubbing issues on the front seeing you're 1" larger in diameter than stock. Guess what's behind that plastic "tab", sheet metal edges. It's not a "tab", it's part of your fender liner and what you should do is remove it to see what's behind it, sheet metal spot welded together. You will have to grind the entire length of it down a good 1/4" and I suggest you do so, soon. Otherwise when it wears through that plastic which it will in a short period of time, you have a good chance of it slitting your tires.

I would also advise after you do this that you slit the plastic liner where the sheet metal is, cave it in using a heat gun to get it flush after grinding the metal down and place duct tape over it to cover it up when all done.

J8635621 05-26-2011 08:31 AM

That's why I asked how he came up with the tire sizes. Considerably taller than stock. It's like people pick and choose what they like from what I post.

rotary-ftw 05-26-2011 10:05 AM

Wheel Diameter (Inches) - 19"
Wheel Width (Inches) - 8.5F/10R"
Offset - 38F/43Rmm
Hub Bore - 73mm

Tires
front 215 35 r19
rear 225 35 r19

And im lowered 2 inches on Bc coilovers.

J8635621 05-26-2011 10:12 AM

about 50mm too thin on the tires
