ok, hopefully last time i have to ask, i'll talk specifics now.

The rims I'm thinking of getting are the Enkei Performance KLAMP
18x1.8
Offset: +42mm
Backspacing: 6.37"

the tires I'm thinking of are:
ExtremeContact DW
245/40ZR18

this is for both front and rear.

Stock suspension and setup.

is that going to work? That offset seems large, but thats what tirerack recommended...

I'm going for a 245/40/18 setup, any better suggestions for rims in the same price-range?

18x1.8? That offset is pretty close to stock aka exactly what Tire Rack is gonna tell you. That's definitely going to fit. Will it look the best? Probably not.

sorry, 18x8.5.
haha, donno how i messed that up

well, i'll keep looking a bit then. I really liked the enkei performance lusso, but they only came in 8" and 9", no 8.5.... and i figured 18x9 40+ would be too large for the front.

even in stock suspension without rolling? I just went and did a rough measurement, 18x9 +40 seems too big for the front, with 245/40 tires... it was just a rough measurement, but it didnt seem like there was that much space over stock rims/tires. i wanna take this out to the track at some point so I want full suspension travel.

are other people running series I with that in the front without any modification and without issues? (this thread is way too long to search all of, i tried for a while and gave up)

sorry, your reply was just so terse that I have a hard time believing it...

Go rough measure again? I don't know what to tell you. 9.5 +45 with 275s fits on a perfectly stock car.

Not in the front it wont.
It will rub on the inside of the wheel wells at something significantly less than full lock.

Even Team used them and was pretty low. I'm not sure if they were 265 or 275s. I'm sure he never rubbed or modified the fenders though because that would be r3tard3d and juv3nil3

No. All the time.

Even 265 will rub the inside of the wheel wells when at full lock.

Hell, I can get 255's on 42mm offset 9" to rub the inside with the suspension loaded in a turn!

I think that most people that will put 275s on the front of their car are posers anyway. So, fully loading the suspension probably wont happen.

So I am being a little lazy but I hope someone answers this, anyway im thinking about getting an aggressive set of wheels and have just been looking around. Came across these.

http://zilvia.net/f/wheels-tires/388...lipop-red.html

I already have my fenders rolled some but can do more since im sure id have to. Just dont know if id have to run a lot of negative camber or not. Plus is the tire size on them good or would I be better off running a 45 series?

Work CR kai 18x9.5 +38 all around on 245 40 18 hankook v12's?

I am a complete tire noob and was directed to this thread... I basically chose numbers of the rim sizes I've seen that I like and I like rx 8speciale's tires from here:
https://www.rx8club.com/forum/showthread.php?t=212553

Would it be better if I changed any numbers around? I'm being serious when I say I'm a complete noob. Also would it look dumb on the stock suspension? If so, feel free to recommend some stuff for me to lower (I don't want to scrape all over the place though, there are some bad roads around here).

Thanks.

read through the thread for a couple hours and you will get a good idea of what fits

but yes that should fit easily, be aware that 245s on a 9.5 wheel will look a little bit stretched so make sure that is a look you want before you buy the setup

What do you mean stretched? What would look better? Thanks

Look up RX8Soldier or SoldierRX8....something like that. He has the same fitment and suspension setup you are asking about. If you aren't planning on lowering the car much, 255/40 all around could work.

I like the look of the tires here:
https://www.rx8club.com/forum/showthread.php?t=212553

Those rims are similar looking o the ones I'll be getting too. Is that the stretched look you're talking about?
