Suspension info!!!

ElSuaveChino 06-18-2011 05:29 PM

Stock but planning on dropping dependin on how much room I have to work with

J8635621 06-18-2011 06:56 PM

Coilovers dropped ~2" all around, 265/30f 275/30r maybe 285 rolled fenders and cut off the bumper tabs should work

Kahl 06-19-2011 07:08 PM

Work CR kai 18x9.5 +38 all around

Not sure how I'll be dropping but probably 0.5-1.0"

Recommended tire sizes if I like the look of the tires shown here?
https://www.rx8club.com/forum/showthread.php?t=212553
(They're 245 40 18)

J8635621 06-19-2011 07:36 PM

.5-1.0" is so weak. You'll wish for more.

I can't get any more due to the roads where I live. Already have scraping problems on stock setup.

Rotary-RX8 06-19-2011 08:07 PM

18x10 +18 with 265/35/19 .... Dropped about 1.5'' - 2'' Max on coilovers. Would a pull be needed ?? All im willing to do is roll and shave tabs. No pulling or liner removal. Let me know if theyll fit please.

I can also get 18x10 +38 is my other option but i think the +18 will look much better. Im looking for a flush look but not hella poke.

MaD666MaX 06-19-2011 08:28 PM

putting spacers on my MS-T II wich are 18x7.5 + 50, 25mm spacers or 30? i'm on s-tech and got 1° camber front and 1.8° rear on stock 225/45 but planning to change for 235/40 nt05

Didn't say your tires but I'm gonna say 30mm

+18 is gonna poke big time. Look at my most recent pics and imagine the wheel being 1/2" farther out and that's 10+18 with a 2" drop (not to mention the tires). 10+38 will definitely work and if it's not aggressive enough for you use spacers?

Maybe you should move or drive slower or avoid the bad spots? I can't imagine a place much worse than Houston or out in the middle of no where like my parents' house.

Rotary-RX8 06-20-2011 08:27 AM

Thanks J !!!! Ive seen 18x10 +18 before and they look flush but im assuming these guys mess with their camber alot so it looks flush i guess lol.

In your opinion though. Would you say the 18x10 +38 will loook aggressive ?

J8635621 06-20-2011 08:54 AM

Where did you see 18x10+18? Especially with 275s and only lowered 2"

J8635621 06-20-2011 08:55 AM

My definition of aggressive is different from other people. I'd want +38 with 275s and a small spacer.

Rotary-RX8 06-20-2011 09:03 AM

Ive seen it with 265s. Search up TBK. Phantom Blue 8.

If I want any new aero parts in the future I wouldn't be able to get in or out of my driveway. Instead of giving me lowering advice can you just answer my original question?

I came here for an answer not to have someone attempt to convince me to do something that I won't be doing.

J8635621 06-20-2011 11:46 AM

265s kahl

Tbk did all those things you dont want to and is much lower

J8635621 06-20-2011 11:47 AM

Well actually 255s kahl since 265s will leave more wheel gap.

batangisip89 06-20-2011 02:41 PM

F/R 18x9.5 +35
245/40/18 all around

stock susp. for now... koni yellows and s. techs in the future

any issues?

Ross_Dawg 06-20-2011 02:46 PM

No issues at stock height. When you get the coils in the future you might need to roll fenders.

J8635621 06-20-2011 03:59 PM

And they will stick out beyond the fenders at stock height.
