good luck with getting help on this thread! i asked the exact same thing and all i got from people was smart remarks. but i did some research and it should fit. plus i found this.... http://jonathan-ray.com/blog/index.p...-stancenation/ its pics of an rx8 featured in stancenation with those exact wheels and megan coilovers. so yes it will fit. the dicks on here just dont want to help anyone out

J8635621 07-16-2011 11:00 AM

Yea we're dicks that ask for information so we can help. It all matters or we wouldn't fucking ask for it. He didn't get that publicity for running wheels that would fit on every rx8.

J8635621 07-16-2011 11:06 AM

9.5 +15 has the potential to look like shit so give us your suspension info (how much you're lowered if coilovers) and the tire size. Requires fender roll and trimming off the bumper tab in the back even if you are low enough

Lol, Just take it as he gives it and give him the info he needs, J literally knows all, he comes off strong but all in all hes here to help you as long as you give him what he needs to help you.

d_mashuda 07-16-2011 02:24 PM

Hey j8, got another one for ya, the rim i wanted before is no longer being made and i cant get them, my second choice is a different offset...
18x8.5 +35 front
18x9.5 +35 rear
stock suspention height...what would be the best tire choice for those that wont rub , or will i have to roll them anyway wit those offsets? I was going to run a 245/40 18 and 275/35 18 with the same size rims with a +45 offset. I know the +35 will be pretty agressive but will they work? Thanks man

J8635621 07-16-2011 03:49 PM

Rear is gonna stick beyond the fender and need a fender roll. Not gonna look good

d_mashuda 07-17-2011 01:01 PM

Ok, thanks man...back to the drawing board i guess...

stock suspension right now. debating on getting tein s-techs with koni yellow's or just buying coilovers. my current tire size is 245/45/18 g-force tires.

drifter_d 07-17-2011 02:32 PM

^^ buy coilovers. Trust me. Cars with bodykits or aero, like yours, don't look good at stock ride height.

J8635621 07-17-2011 02:44 PM

And 245 is fine but the 45 is too tall for when you lower it. I'd suggest 9.5 +22 since it's more common and easier to fit. Lot easier to sell and 5mm spacers cost nothing if you want more aggression (sic)

MazdaJeff 07-18-2011 12:58 PM

Here is one for you guys.

F - 19x8.5 +35
R - 19x10 +36

I currently have 235/35/19 on the front and 255/30/19 on the rear. I'm having a hard time finding replacement 255's.

Will a 270/30/19 fit?

Here are 2 pics with the old set on (not that you can see much):

Thanks!

J8635621 07-18-2011 01:03 PM

Yea that can be made to fit if you have the rears rolled and the bumper tab removed. You could also get 255/35/19 or 265/30/19. 245/35/19 for the front is what I would recommend and what is your suspension setup? You have a weird front/rear gap scenario.

I'm running Mazdaspeed springs and shocks for suspension.

J8635621 07-18-2011 01:26 PM

Eh I think the 265/30 would be best for you. I used to have MS springs, but I don't remember thinking the front had that much more gap than the rear. Did you preload the fronts fully?

LOL i live in wisconsin buddy...any lower and my body kit will get ripped off first time around the block...i wish i could drop it...but its staying where its at for now...ok so if i get those 18x8.5 and 18x9.5's ive been reasearching alot and there are guys running them, but im not sure what tires would work best? And jeff has basicaly the same setup, just 19's so couldn't i run 235's in the front and 255's in the rear also or wouldnt that work? :scratchhe

J8635621 07-19-2011 11:38 PM

Don't do it. Jeff does not have basically the same setup at all. He is lowered and you are not. His rear wheels are 10s and not 9.5. It won't look good if you aren't lowered. No matter what size tires you want, the wheels will actually sit outside the fender. If that's the look you want, then go ahead but I HATE that look (like most people).

PS: I'm willing to bet you could lower your car and be fine. It's 90% how you drive.

9krpmrx8 07-20-2011 12:15 AM

 I see some whiney bitches in this thread. I love how people think it is all about wheel size and offset. Obviously if you are coming to this thread, you don't know so if J8 or anyone else is asking questions it's usually for a reason.

Getting the right stance is tricky depending on wheels, tires, and suspension (spring rates, shocks, etc.) so if you wanna go big you will have to sacrifice in one way or another.

Truthfully, I do not know the answer to that question. The car sits level so i would say they are not fully preloaded if I had to guess.

Thanks for the help. As I need to order the tires. I will go with the 265's. Eye balling it I think the extra 10 MM will fit fine.

Thanks again.

Listen to J8 here. I had the wheels and tires installed before it was lowered. It was horrible and did not look as I had envisioned it.

J8635621 07-20-2011 08:51 AM

Eh don't worry about the wheel gap thing I said. I looked at some old pictures and was pretty close to what you have.

Rotary-RX8 07-20-2011 08:55 AM

^ this is why you lower first then put wheels :)

devtec 07-20-2011 09:46 PM

I have a brand new set of winter rims/tires that I'd really like to use. Will these fit?

Rims: 16 x 6.5 steelies, offset 50
Tires: 205/55R16

Leads to a 1.1" differential in diameter, which I know is a lot, but would still be nice to use them...

TIA

Rotary-RX8 07-20-2011 09:58 PM

^ obviously theyll fit. Same offset as stock. But they will look horrible !!!

Im running 18x8 +30 for my winters :)

If you have a 6 speed they won't clear the brakes.

The offset is not the issue.
