Here's my wheel future:
18x9.5 +45 or 18x9 +35 245/40R18. From what I've read about the RP-F1 fitments, running these tires should be a piece of cake on the +45 9.5's... but I'm unsure about the +35 9's... It seems like it'll work. |
thanks a lot for all the help bigO and lurch.
I'm going to have to see how everything will play out before i order everything. thanks again! |

did you roll your fenders?
im running 255/30 on the rear, and cant get my pinky between the fender and the tire. well, if you are running a 275/35 on the rear, you might not have to as the tire is half an inch shorter than stock |
19x8.5 front offset of 38
20x9.5 rear offset of 35 or 19x8.5 rear offset of 38 whats a good tire size i should look at for both setups? |

May want to search all 4 and see which gives you the best price. I cant comment on the 19s in the Front and 20s in the rear... as i have no idea what look your going for... and what tire fitment will match. |
alright thanks dude and i just bought the 19x8.5 (F/R)
so now its time to pick some good tires |

dont know which tires You dont have to worry about stretching the tire to make it fit, so just go with whatever you want. 245/40/18 will work fine. |
hey BigO, i'm thinking about dropping the front about 1.2" and lifting the rear about 1.5"
if i do do you think i can fit 18x8.5 +38 FR and 20x10.5+32 rear??? i cant wait to hear if it will fit, i think this car would look badass with the old school muscle car lean :scratchhe this is the guy you are all asking wheel questions to.... BigOLundh (9:03:41 PM): i clikced on the link again with that stupid song BigOLundh (9:03:45 PM): on purpose BigOLundh (9:03:47 PM): its so great paulmasoner (9:04:33 PM): what song, rick rolled? BigOLundh (9:04:44 PM): yup paulmasoner (9:04:45 PM): haha |
i dont know why everyones hating... thats a great song.
and to your question, yes it'll fit. Make sure to run slicks in the back (over 315)... and lets get to work on your Flow Master exhaust canisters. Ford re badge is a must. |
put that tire apsect ratio calculator BS away because it means nothing, tires are not created equal WRT the width size and aspect ratio cast onto the sidewall
18 x 10.5 +45 with Yokoham Advan Neova AD07 265/35-18 tires on all four corners (which BTW the 265 AD07s are wider than any other 275 street tire) seriously lowered, no fender mods and no rubbing |
No one answered my thread :( I pretty much already know the answer
repost with edits: Here's my wheel future: 18x9.5 +35 or 18x8.5 +30 245/40R18 on the 9.5 225/45R18 on the 8.5 If I decide to run these. They WILL NOT be staggered. I'm going to choose one fitment all the way around. From what I've read about the RP-F1 fitments, running these tires should be a piece of cake on the +45 9.5's... but I'm unsure about the +35 9.5's... It seems like it'll work. |
Seeing how Team is getting away with 18 x 10.5 +45, then 18 X 9.5 +35 seems doable

did you notice a benefit in running the 265 on a 10.5" rim... versus across a 9.5" rim?
Maybe I'll run 225's on a 10.5... :ylsuper: Where is Rishie and why hasn't he posted his uber-flush fitments? I'd like to see pics of a 245/40 on an 18x9.5, I'm sure he could produce that. Rishie I'm local and might buy my wheels from you!!! ;] Now post some pictars! |
i meant performance wise. i doubt team is gonna sacrifice even .1 seconds on an autocross course for the sexy stretched look
|
I'm getting close to purchasing tires for my newly purchased rims, posted this information before, but figured with the extra information here it may make it easier to choose the right tire for the rear...
http://i187.photobucket.com/albums/x...yrechoices.jpg Obviously the 265s are my first choice, but can't find a reputable place to roll the fenders... 18x8.5 (+35) front 18x9.5 (+35) rear |

18x8.5 (+35) front 18x9.5 (+35) rear Only Problem i see with this is that your front side wall is about 2.75 mm higher than the rear. Hardly noticeable 235/35/18 (F) (82.25mm Side-Profile) 265/30/18 (R) (79.5mm Side-Profile) That stretch on the front rim might be a bit much... and will make you SLIGHTLY more prone to curb damage. If your a good driver and the roads in your neighborhood aren't too bad... this shouldn't be a major issue. 225/35/18 (F) (78.75mm Side-Profile) 265/30/18 (R) (79.5mm Side-Profile) If it was me i would go with the second choice. |
The three new tire sizes you mentioned, are non-existant in the Federal Tyres line-up lol...
I posted these particular 4 tires as they are the only ones that I am looking at purchasing. Their 30-series tyres are only available in 19"... |
Likely won't be an issue BUT since you don't state what tire brand/model nobody can be 100% sure
a designated tire size like 245/40R18 doesn't mean anything, the tire manufacturer can make it as wide or as narrow as they see fit, there is no legislated standard on actual vs theoretical size designations

R: 19x9.5 +55 |
dont do that
|
Hey big O would 19x8.5 F offset 38 and 19x9.5 R offset 35 work? or offset 35 on both. offset 35 19x8.5 R offset 35
