Anyone have any input for me?

Im gonna have 15 more mm's on the inside and the rim will extend out another 57mm. Thats a little over 2 inches. I can play with the height until i get it right but im definitely trying to go aggressive and im willing to roll fenders. Anything?

That's gonna require more than a fender roll. The wheels will sit outside the fender.

Im not an expert like j but with 18x9.5 +12 u will need to roll and pull the fender plus shaving the bumper tabs both front and rear.
If u wanna Run streched tires 225/40 would help pull it off with some camber and a aggressive drop.

Because where the indicator attaches, there is now a tire. You won't be low enough to pull that off. 9.5 +22 with 245/40 might be close to the same but you will have to remove some things and it may look dumb if there is gap between the tire and fender.

so what do you advise as springs and offset, so that it dont look dumb , with a gap , how low do you advise, with out having to remove the indicator cause that yes looks dumb ,look undone !

I'm very new to this

I'm looking at a set of used rims on kijiji
and the ad states this about the rims:
multi 5 bolt pattern 5x115 and 5x100
with tires
245 35 zr 20s

these are 20 inch rims

I was wondering..
will it fit?

You need to try a little harder than that.

Rud you need to be as low as that car is. The corners can be modified to fit but they aren't able to be kept functional I believe. That setup is pretty aggressive. Are you sure you want something like that? I don't.

17x10.5 et28 265/35
17x9 et24 245/40
My rx8 is a base so they should clear brakes.
Lowered on Powertrix about 3"
Will I need a pull to make these work in the rear? or is it a lost cause?
Also what size tires do ya'll think? I've never ran 17s before so not familiar to the size differences. I don't mind stretch.
If you're wondering these are Shelby Cobra wheels. Does any one have a pic of this style wheel on an 8? Look like these http://carphotos.cardomain.com/ride_...0005_large.jpg but the real deal.

Those rears aren't gonna work out too easy. The fronts are gonna be very, very tucked compared to the rears. I wouldn't even consider it.

Yea your right I don't think I would like the staggered look maybe a 5mm spacer in the front?
So I take it by not work out to easy I would need one hell of a pull and moar camber huh? I'm running about -2.8 now in the rear would I need moar than that?

I still don't know if I would like these wheels on an 8 just thinking about giving them a test fit and wondering if I even could test fit them lol they're huge!

Show a picture of your car lowered 3" and it would need much larger than a 5mm spacer.

ok sounds like this set up won't work either. I can't stand being hella sunk and I'm gonna need more meat when the turbo goes in.

You aren't low enough to pull off something that aggressive in the rear. Definitely look elsewhere.

Okay, so I'm no stranger to the site, and HATE posting such a basic question on a topic that has been beaten to death. But I haven't seen this same question so far in the 20(of 151) pages I've read here. So here goes, and I'm sorry.

I want to order new wheels for summer when I put winter tires on my car. I want to stick with 18" wheels, and do not want to have to drop the car or roll fenders. That said, what is the easiest size 18" wheel/tire combination ON A STOCK 8 to improve the visual appearance without being outrageously aggressive or any rubbing? Thanks! Pics would be great!

I want an 18" wheel/tire that is more aggressive than stock yet does not require mods to the car. What sizes will push that limit without rubbing? IDK if that is any different than my first question...

Basically looking for what worked for someone else and maybe a pic to confirm that's what I want.
