another option for the tires are 265/35ZR18..

so will these fit on all fours with 18X9.5 et 35s?

Rotary Mike 08-20-2008 09:30 PM

Hi these are obviously going to be winters, but:

17X7 with a 48 offset 5X114.3

V1.0 08-23-2008 05:50 PM

Here's what I got:

Front: 18x8.5 offset 45 tire 235/40
Rear: 18x9.5 offset 55 tire 265/35

Will it fit?

dschreiner 08-24-2008 11:28 AM

front 19x8.5 +40
rear 19x9.5 +35

feloracing26 08-25-2008 06:44 PM

tight fit, but i think it could fit, given that the tire diameter is smaller. you may need a lil more camber all around if anything.

that should be fine with a respectable tire size to not hit the suspension. maybe a 225/50/17.

the front is fine, but that rear goes into the suspension pretty drastically. not exactly sure how much clearance there is, but the inside position of the rim and tire will be approximately an inch further in than stock. make sure you have enough room.

they fit depending on tire size. the usual 245/35/19 front and 275/30/19 rear would work fine if you roll the rear.

I can't do anything without the offset. HPO/MED is dependent on the company.

Thanks NgoRX8!

I did put them on and at first was very leary of the clearence but after I lowered the car back down it cleared fine and have no rubbing that I can tell. Only problem is now is one of the back rims is bent but the only way you could tell was by spinning it. Found it when I was having them balanced. Now I'm stuck and have to try to get the rim fixed by this local place that fixes rims. Otherwise I have to find a place that sells black reverbs cause the place local to me says the have discountinued them. I took a chance buying used. Oh well live and learn.

Thanks again and wish me luck!

axis shine 20x10 are 20 offset. 20x9 are either 15 or 35. It will look stupid on a stock rx8.

mod 7's will be easie to fit, I think they are a 38 offset, but again, it will look stupid on a stock rx8.

How did it get bent? Quality of knockoff wheels is disgusting... (they are copies of the advan tc2)

V1.0 08-25-2008 07:52 PM

I think the previous owner(s) had hit a pot hole. They are genuine Axis Reverbs, but any rim can get bent if you hit something hard enough I guess. It's not bent that bad but when you are rolling you hear more road noise than usual. They got the rim to zero out but it still has that noise but it did lessen. I'm going to drop it off tomorrow to see if the shop can fix it. If they can't then I don't know what I'm going to do.

Edit: I didn't know they were knock offs. That kinda sucks. Now I'm thinking I wish I hadn't bought them.

alexisthemovie 08-25-2008 08:20 PM

all Axis wheels are knockoffs, same as rota, konig, maxxim, drag, etc, etc, etc

NgoRX8 08-25-2008 08:32 PM

they are knockoffs in design, but they aren't bad. get it fixed, you'll be fine.

Razz1 08-25-2008 10:14 PM

Those look nice!

just about every wheel out there takes designs elements from some other previous design.

there's a difference between inspiration and just blatantly ripping off another design. :spank:

V1.0 08-26-2008 06:55 PM

Well, dropped off the rim today so we'll see. They said it should be ready by Friday if they can fix it. I'm hoping!

NgoRX8 08-26-2008 07:04 PM

good luck man.

sup guys! thanks to everyone for the help, just thought id send some pics to show how everything ended up, no tire roll or any type of adjustments!

rx8thunder 08-27-2008 05:29 PM

How about 18x9.5 with 22 offset? Tires: 265/35 1.4" drop in front, .75 inch in back.

I realize that this a tough fit but could it be done with enough camber? Downside of more camber? Thx

you won't need that much camber if you aren't going to be tucking the tire. A good roll will work all around.

Rotary REVolution 08-28-2008 07:54 PM

hey would 18x9 +30 both front and rear fit without any necessary modifications?
