If only we could find someone with 530s and a 245/40. It would be nice to ask them.

hocknscary87 05-06-2013 01:49 PM

Which tab in the front do I gotta eliminate. I wanna slam it enough to look good but still wanna be able to roll fast if I want to. Sometimes I just get in the mood

shadowchemos 05-06-2013 06:12 PM

Wheels enkei fittipaldi

F: 18x8.5 +25
R: 18x8.5 +25

Tires

F: 225/45/18
R: 245/45/18

Found a guy selling these with tires, and I can get them for an amazing deal, they are not perfect by any means but look very clean.

I'm meeting him in about 2.5 hours and I was gonna go get them with my brothers car because I'm not sure if they will fit in mine, if I take his car I won't be able to try the wheels before I buy them, and honestly I know I should have done more research but my friend told me about this and I really didn't want to pass it up.

Thanks for any help you guys can provide!

Forgot to mention, everything else is stock on my car, suspension brakes etc...

Why are you asking? You're gonna put them on anyway lol

Because I don't want to drive all the way out there, its like 50 miles away, and put them on only to see they don't fit. And I'm not sure if i can even fit the wheels inside my car for transport? So if i take my brothers car then I can't test them at all, do you see my point?

J8635621 05-06-2013 06:55 PM

Ok, I'll try again, will the wheels "FIT" without rubbing or any modifications, I don't care about looking good at the moment, I am planning to get suspension mods soon, I just want to know, in case I don't would I still be able to use the wheels lets say for daily drving or whatever.

Thank you.

J8635621 05-06-2013 07:13 PM

Sure. Might need to roll the rear fenders

Got the wheels, the guy even gave me the lugs because no way to use the stock ones lol... The fronts fit no problems at all, the back fit, but when I hit big bumps it rubs against the inside edge of the wheel well. there is only about a 1.5-2 inch gap there, I will beat the crap out of it (gently) tomorrow morning and try to get them to fit perfectly. If that fails, I can just get the regular tires instead of these sporty 245s.

I will also post some pics, I took night pics but they look like crap...

No matter how many times I read about offset I won't fully understand it, i just want to know if a 50 offset tire can fit on a 45 offset rim

Tires don't have an offset

Those don't fit perfectly. Not rubbing is far from the only requirement to fit perfectly. I suspect the wheel edge is beyond that fender

Yes the wheel is past the fender, which is what I wanted. By not much, but I really like the look.

Lol, its barely sticking out, like 1/2 inch, I'm sorry I can't be as cool as everyone and have super hellaflush 35 inch wheels with 4 foot wide tires and -500 camber with my car scraping the ground. Maybe one day....... But for now I'll have to make do with what I got... And honestly, I don't see how a car can look better with a stock wheel being a half inch inside the fender instead of a half inch out, but I don't really know shit...

Didn't take any pics from the front or back, and its dark outside now.

depends how low you want and how much camber/stretch you're willing to run. 245/40 or 255/40 will work depending on how low you want to be. But if you want to slam it, then 235/40 is your best option. Don't forget that you'll have to shave your tabs also or they will shred your tires to pieces.

What tab do I need to eliminate. Any other pointers. I work at a body shop So I'm fairly confident I can do this all myself. Just gotta be told what all I need to do. At what point with lowering do I gotta remove the bumper lights.

musicaddikt 05-10-2013 10:20 PM

Little help please...

Front: 19x8.5 offset 35 (245/35/19) Rear: 19x9.5 offset 35 (265/30/19)

Lowered on Tein H Tech (Drop: front 1", rear 0.3 )

Will this fit without any rolling or cutting? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advan

J8635621 05-11-2013 07:02 AM

Nope

J8635621 05-11-2013 08:28 PM

You say you aren't getting help when I give you an answer? Gtfo

H tech isn't a drop first off. That's damn near stock height on the few cars I've seen with them. Next that setup isn't "aggressive" but you don't want to do fender mods so you are severely limited.

musicaddikt 05-11-2013 08:41 PM

I know. There would be something i can use, my friend has bc coilovers with that setup and not even a rub. Thing is i dont want to go coilovers as my budget is limited so I'd need a set of springs.
