Hey guys, wondering if guys can comfirm something for me. I'm looking at getting a set of stance sc-five wheels SC-5ive Matte Silver Machined Wheel - Stance Wheels 19" x 8.5 with 235/35 tires. Now the offset of these wheels concerns me because its listed at +35/+15. I don't know a whole lot about rims but I have been researching and this confuses me for it to have two listings. From what I've found it should fit if its +35 offset, and the over height shouldn't change with the reduced sidewall height... 225/45-R18 vs 235/35-R19 Tire Comparison - Tire Size Calculator forgive me if I'm asking stupid questions but I searched through over a 150 of these postings and was unable to find enough evidence for me to buy them. I'm lowered on koni yellows and tein s-techs (roughly 1.8" - 2") Any info would be greatly appreciated guys.

245/35 tires +35 offset is fine. 245 width not 235

dannobre 06-04-2013 12:53 AM

Likely the wheel is available in 2 offsets...+35 and +15

Cant be both at the same time ( unless they have a knock off hub centric spacer built in ;) )

Thanks for the information everyone! Guess I'll be putting an order in soon :-) take care boys

Hey guys not really sure what to do, first time looking for new tires and rims. I know I want motegi MR116 rims but I don't really want to go staggered. Most importantly I want to make sure these would fit since I'll be ordering online. Should I do:

18x8 with 225/45-18

Or

18-9 with 245/40-18

JCrane82 06-06-2013 09:26 PM

offset?

I have a 2009 Sport. I'm looking to get an aggressive and flush stance. Something like tiltmode's stance on his various TE37s.

Wheels I'm looking at are 18x9.5 +32 all the way around, probably with a 225 to 245 series tire with a 35 or 40 sidewall. They are Motegi MR120s.

Will be sitting on Stance coils, with rolled and shaved fenders. Will it sit flush or will I need to run some camber?

Was looking at +22 offset in the same size wheel, but that would require a pull or significant camber, correct?

allaboutmoney 06-12-2013 03:14 AM

Hey i got a new set of rpf1 and thinking about what tires will fit.
18x9.5 +15 265/35 all around.

I am lowered on eibach pros with stock shocks but getting coilovers soon.

So then what should i run up front? 245/35?

walter_g6 06-12-2013 01:08 PM

about to buy rims but dont wanna fuck up, so any advice or comments on how these will fit. much appreciated:

Rims : 18" DIAMETER (18" x 7.5") front and rear.

tires : FRONT TIRE SIZE: 245/40ZR18 Y

REAR TIRE SIZE: 275/35ZR18 Y

Let me know if i there would be any problems with this sizes or what would be more recommened? thanks

also, what would the offset be? :s

allaboutmoney 06-12-2013 03:42 PM

Can someone give me a proper answer ? About to purchase tires this week.

J8635621 06-12-2013 03:46 PM

If you have to ask what that needs to fit, then you don't need to try to make it fit. That isn't an easy fitment. Just because Tiltmode had it does not mean everyone should try to run those specs.

Awful choices all around. Get wider wheels and don't put wider tires in the rear than the front. Try again

What would you recommend, as I already have the rims, want a square set up, dont mind rolling my front fenders and trimming cuz I do work in a shop. Just wondering how much work to make it fit and if I should run thinner width all around.

My turn to "help." My buddy runs a 235/40 on that same size and slammed. I have 245/40s on something similar but not so slammed. Both required a bit of rolling and cutting.

dannobre 06-12-2013 04:01 PM

Wheels are quite narrow.....so you wouldn't want to run the 275 series tires for sure

Why wouldn't you go with a 9"- 9.5 wheel in the +35-40 offset area...with 245 series tires on all corners

That would allow proper rotation of the tires...and give you a nice flush look without hacking the car to bits ;)

Thanks for your input probably going with 245/40, do you have pics by any chance. Appreciate your help.

That tells me you haven't read back through this thread. There are pics in there somewhere and in the Velocity Red thread.

J8635621 06-12-2013 04:08 PM

You are gonna have problems front and rear. You are going to have to be slammmmmmmmmed and trim up stuff front and rear after your roll the fenders. 245/40 is what I would suggest doing first if you absolutely have to do it.

Mr_Pieper 06-12-2013 04:10 PM

Ppppffffffrrrrtttttttttttttttttt!
