I'm Mike. After talking to several members on the forum (thanks for the advice J8635621 and altspace!) i've gone with the following setup: Wheels: Work Emotion XT 7 Size: 18x9.5 +30 Suspension: Koni Yellow with H&R Springs (45mm drop) Tyres: 245/35/R18 <subject to change> I've done a lot of searching through this thread and am aware that the guards need rolling and the rear bumper tabs need shaving. My question is, will the wheels require any significant amount of cambering to fit? I am also open to suggestions for tyre changes if you think there is a better choice, as they haven't been ordered yet. Hoping you can help me out :). Thanks, - Mike. |
245/40/18...35 profile would be extremely short...255/35 before 245/35 IMO

Hi J,
The picture below of Rev Up's RX8 is the look i'm going for, except not as low or cambered. He has used 245/35 tyres. Do you think 245/40 or 255/35 tyres will fit without rubbing issues? This car will be my everyday driver so this is why I want to avoid rubbing. Also, does anyone have any info regarding camber and 18x9.5 +30 rims? I'm hoping I won't have to mess with it........ 245/40 should be fine.

hi guys. I tried to search the thread to see if anyone had the same specs I'm looking for...although they were similar they werent exact. I'm looking at Vossen 19x8.5 +32. The offset is what I didnt come across in the search....I'd like to wrap this wheel with a Nitto NT05 245/35/19. lemme know what you think and if the offset will work. Also I'm dropped just a bit with Racing Beat springs...I think its slightly more than a half inch drop. thanks in advance!

awesome. Thanks dude! oh one thing. Will the fender be filled with the 32 offset? I currently run stock tire specs but I have 25mm spacers to get them flush with the rest of the car. Think I'll need a smaller spacer?

Not really. My fronts are 19 x 8.5 + 24 with a 245/35-19. But I am way lower than you will be.

It'll sit about the same as your current setup. You won't need the spacers

Hi guys, I am wondering will 19' 8.5/9.5 +32/+22 wheels with fit.
I am planning to put these on 225/40 and 245/35 tyres. Will it fit? I am planning to roll my fenders and use stock suspension. If it does not fit, what are the possible solutions? |

I'm currently running 19x8 on the tire size in my SIG. The previous owner cut the stock springs (smh). I want to purchase a new set of springs (1.75" F , 1.50" R) Will it sit flush with my current tires or will I need to purchase a different size? At the moment there is a 1.5" gap in the rear from the tire to the fender well, and sits past flush in the front. Thanks for all insight. |

What springs are you going to run? What offset are your wheels? (I turned off sigs post your specs.)Typically all the springs I've seen: the rear is much lower than the front. With the exception of Sprint springs that are VERY low and too soft for an aggressive stance. I highly recommend coilovers for anyone wanting a flush look all around. That way as your setup or tires change you can adjust accordingly for free or a relatively low cost. I'm not sure what springs yet but I've been looking at Megan racing and some eBay springs Lol. My tire size is 235/35r19 in the front and 275/30r19 in the rear. I'm not sure on the offset because I cannot find info on my wheels. They are flush with the fender though. They do not stick out past the fender. I want coilovers eventually but not at the moment. I just want to get the cut springs off my 8 as soon as possible and cheap. This is how it sits currently |
Don't put that junk on there. If there's no current problems(other than the springs being cut) I'd save up for coilovers.
Look on the back side of the rim. The offset should be on them when they were casted. |

Good, then expect to pay another $800.00 again in a year or two when you replace the first set of shitty $800.00 coil overs.
And Powertrix is really considered junk in the scheme of things. The customer service is great but the coilovers themselves are just crappy. Same goes for the identical Stance I have. The bushings failing in both the Stance and Powertrix are a known issue and are a serious safety hazard if left unchecked. |

if you don't need the height adjustability, and can achieve the desired height with a spring/shock set, then it is better to do a good set of springs and shocks. For $800 you can get a set of springs and d-specs, which will be similar in quality to coilovers costing double that.
springs limit you on height adjustability and the spring rates available. |
