There are springs that will put you plenty low though. You were 95% correct is all I'm saying.

Thanks guys.
How about the tyres? Should I use 225/40s (front) and 245/35s (rear) or just use similar profiles remembering that i Am running a staggered set up and wider tyres have bigger diametre. |

This is my first post but i'm member of the forum for more than 1 year.. i always prefer use search option and don't ask but... now i want opinions.
Actual Suspension Specifications: Shocks: KYB – Gas-a-Just Shock Absorbers (changed at 55k miles, actually car has 62k miles) Springs: Stock Springs (front spring coils were cutted half inch) *Don't attack me*, I know was a big mistake, after that i learned cutting spring coils changes the spring rate and kill the shocks Varrstoen are offering their TE37 replica with offsets that will make us happy so i'll change my wheels soon and i need the opinion of our forum experts. http://oi39.tinypic.com/zum5nr.jpg Option #1 Suspension: Tein S.Tech Springs Drop:
Wheels: Varrstoen ES2
Option #2: Suspension: Megan Racing EZ Street Coilovers (don't really know if i really need coilovers to achieve my goal) Drop: ??? don't know. Wheels: Varrstoen ES2
Tires: (same size that i'm actually running) Front: 245/35ZR19 Rear: 275/30ZR19 Goal: lowered car, aggresive fitment look but not slammed, it's a daily use car so i don't want a nasty camber. I was thinking about the +22 offset but for what i read in the forum it will be a pain and i'll need to add more camber, im open to few camber adjustments but i dont want to change tires every three months for the aggressive tire wear. I'm open to roll fenders, other tire sizes (but not so stretched) also a bit of camber if needed. Actually i don't have any fender rub issues with 4 peoples inside the car, straight alignment of Pepboys I'll appreciate any opinions/critics/recommendations. Thanks Blas btw that's my car, i bought the car with these wheels, they're from a discontinnued brand HP Design, i think SSR GT3 knock off replica wheels. Front: 19 x 8.5 ET 35 Rear: 19 x 9.5 ET 38 (don't remember) http://oi43.tinypic.com/kf1s7o.jpg http://oi42.tinypic.com/15s80w4.jpg |

Hi,
Will these fit standard car not lowered?? Size: 18x8 Offset: 40mm What tyre size would you also recommend as was thinking 225/45-18? also will these fit..! 19x8.5 Offset: 45mm Thanks Carl |
yes and yes.
|
what's the diff between
17x9 +45 245/45/17 vs 17x9 +48 255/40/17 I assume both will fit without issues? I can't seem to find the "+48" with a 9" wheel, but i think that should work, no? Looking to do track duty on them. |
offset is negligible difference. But other than that it just depends on how wide of a tire you want.
you wont have issues with either. |
Looking for new rims on my 05 8...
F:19x8.5 R:19x10 Will the rear fit? |
Offset?? Can't tell you squat without that :)
|
I've seen this before but I don't know if he was lowered or not so I'm asking anyways. I'm at stock height. If not, can I get a suggestion on how to best get them that flush with stock height?
Front 19×8.5 +30, rear 19x10 +38 235/35/19 Front, 285/30/19 Rear Here's the link to the pic: Linea Corse LC818 wheels on 2004 Mazda RX8| WHEELDUDE.COM |
Flush at stock height? That'll look like shit
|
Will really? I had spacers on my current rims to make it flush but that's cause I didn't have money for new rims. I want the look of that 8 in the picture but not that close, how far could I lower it to make those look good? Or better yet, what would you recommend to be flush with the least camber. Can I get suggestions on suspension, rim sizes, and tires? I do want staggered though. Thank you, I'm new to rx8's. Got mine end of may
|
Why staggered? Why those huge tires? Why stock height? Basically how the hell did you come up with those numbers?
|
I got everything from this:
Jean’s Mazda RX8 on 19×8.5/19×10 Satin Black Linea Corse LC818’s | WHEELDUDE.COM I thought they look good but I don't want them that close to rubbing so I thought keeping it stock height would help. I don't know much about rim specs or fitment but I thought if it worked for someone lowered then stock might give me more space. Why are those numbers so off if it worked for someone? And I just like the look, if it'd be better then they don't need to be staggered, I just wanna get that look with alittle more gap for piece of mind. |
Is a 225/45 on a 10.5 going to have too tall of a sidewall?
Car is on coilovers. I know it'll work on the rear, more concerned about getting the height I want in the front and still be functional. |
Your not going to want a 225 series anything on a 10.5" wheel :)
|
Why not? I ran a 195/50 on a 10" on my old cressida?
|
You are why I don't want my rx8 anymore.
|
Stock tire size on 10.5" in wheel is hardly functional.
|
Hey guys about to buy some wheels but wanted to check fitment.
18-9 +25 Wrapped in 225/45R I also have 25mm spacers in the rear And 20mm in the front but that's obviously Removable. Thanks! |
Do your stock wheels fit with the spacers?
If you remove them with the new wheels they will basically be the same :) |
