Is that going to cause issues if I'm at stock ride height (well, for now anyways)

No. Look at the link in my sig. I would suggest 245/35/19

well, I think I've made up my mind (subject to change without notice), I think to keep weight down, I'm going to stick with 18s.

I have 19x9.5 I believe the off set is 35. They are wrapped in 285/30r19. I have coilovers ordered and just trying to find how low I can go with this setup. I believe my rear is sagging anyway, I don't want it slammed but I would like a more aggressive stance. Can I change the alignment to make it for better but not look retarded from the rear?

I am basically wondering if the rims I bought for my 3000GT can be used as a spare tire/wheel for my RX-8 if I ever needed it (aka will it fit). I am primarily wondering about if they would fit on the front as different wheel withes on the rear could break the LSD.

Car is 2006 Manual Transmission with completely stock suspension.

Tire probably too tall. You can try it though. Everything else is ok-ish. Edit: could be used in the rear. Issues are more in the front

I would have to say yes, except the tire height. But the rim is good to go.

Looking for some wheels, i read the guide in the first post. Probably Enkeis raijinor or pf01, I'm lowered on Eibach springs, just want a clean, flush look, will be autos and tracking as well as dd...not sure if to go 18x8.5 or 18x9.5 offsets would be +35 i suppose. Looking to run 18x10 +38 all around with a 275/35/18 tire. Will it fit? Planning to pick up an Eibach Prokit to lower the car.

Planning to get RPF1s 18x10.5 +15 MAYBE with 265/35/18 tires? Idk if these tires will work.

Lowered on stance coilovers about 2 inches (to the point where theres no wheel gap from stock height)

Is only a slight fender roll needed for this setup or am I looking at some serious fender modding?

i read your sig and it was helpful, but not so sure about the offsets. Basically I don't want the sunk look of the stock setup. So will a +38 offset make much of a difference?

18x9.0 +30...will it rub, 1.5 inch drop, +38 also an option

So I am dumb. The tires on those rims are 245 / 40 - 18. From what I understand that would give them the same diameter as the wheels / tires on my RX8 so they should fit just fine.

Anyone know how much fuel mileage drops when you make your tires an inch wider?

Just wanna make sure I'm right with this set up I've read through this a bunch of times but I'm gonna run 245/40s on 18x9.5+38 just lowered on tanabe gf springs with the fenders rolled, will I run into any problems here, is this a good set up to go with? I'm gonna eventually get coilovers just need to save up first

God I've been reading this thread and trying to understand it for almost an hour and all I really have is a headache...

OK. So how about those exact specs (quoted above - my tires are 235/40/R18), stock height, the only difference being 9.5" wide wheels? Would the extra half-inch (I'm assuming a quarter-inch width increase on the inside (towards the car) and a quarter-inch width increase on the outter side (away from the car)) ruin it? My only two options for the wheels are either +25 or +45, so out of those two, it seems +45 would be the obvious choice - am I relatively safe here? Or am I completely hopelessly confused? :confused:

[EDIT] - Discount Tire Direct's web site assures me they will fit a stock-height 2007 Mazda RX-8 with a 6-speed (they're Konig Lace rims).

So, I realize its a 17'' rim and the 8 is on stock 18''s.. Will it fit well, I'm not positive but my 8 might be lowered some..What kind of changes to performance ect. will these wheels/rims bring? Am I better off looking for 18''s? Also, if you know of any black and red rims to suggest, feel free. Thanks guys!

If you have the sport suspension, then it won't fit. If your 8 came stock with 18s then it won't fit, unless the previous owner put 18s on it.

17s will fit over the bigger brakes usually......

Get an 18x8 wheel at a minimum
