You won't notice.... you're talking a 2-5mm difference from stock

Keep us informed on that one:naughty: I also thinking about this setup and how i can get it to work. But i would go for +15, not +30.

How about 255/45/17 on 17x9 with 45 mm offset?
Koni's with RB springs (and sways) |
It will fit but 255/40/17 with 17+35 is what I used to have and it looked sick |

I have the wheels on the car now with the tires that I autocrossed my NC on ... 245/40 and they look way too short to my eye ... the 255/40 is not much taller hence my interest in the 255/45. I'd love to have a more aggressive offset like your 35's but I already own these 45's so that's what I'm working with.

What about 275/40/17's on the same 17x9 45mm wheels? Clearance issues? RB springs with Koni's

Advan RZ
F: 18x10, +35
R: 18x10, +35 Not sure if this will rub? I do have the Öhlins Road&Track coilover though, so I COULD adjust the ride height myself, but still not sure if it'll rub the fender or the suspension? |
^ Do you plan on putting some rubber on those?

I was thinking of going either the following: Option 1: 265/35/18 ( Square Set-up ) Option 2: 275/35/18 ( Square Set-up ) I did think about going staggered, but I prefer square, because then I can rotate the tires, and more out of it. Also, weren't sure if I should stick with '40' for sidewall or not? Having said all that, I do suspect that there will probably be clearance issue for the front, and not for the rear. However, I was curious whether the clearance issue is something that could be rectified by adjusting the ride height? |
Lowered I'd say you'll be able to make the 265's fit. It'll be tight and some mods to wheel well liners might be required to eliminate rubbing. You'll need a fender roll and should be able to stay withing stock spec camber. Those will fit very similar to mine except the inside edge of your tires will sit 10mm closer to inside of car than mine because of the offset difference. Outside edge of tires will sit exactly the same as mine. (I have 255/30's on +30mm offset).
275's up front will require much more work to make them fit without lots of rubbing. It would be more than I'd be willing to go but I don't think it would be impossible with the right suspension adjustments (not sure exactly how much room you have on the inside). Both tire sizes I'd say you won't have too much issues in the rear but will need a fender roll. If you went 275's in rear you'd need slightly (very minor amount) more chamber but again, I don't 100% know how much room you are working with on that inside edge of the tire and clearance of the suspension components (my assumption is more than enough). Again, disclaimer being I'm no pro, I'm just a guy who did a bunch of calculations to figure out what would work on my car with as little mods as possible but still have that flush/more aggressive/clean look. My recommendation would be fit the 265's and if you find that maybe there is some extra room you think you could work with then next set of tires try the 275's out. That was my logic going with the 255's now, next set of tires in a few years will be 265's and a very minor camber adjustment. |

I also do not want to make any modifications if I do not have to. Thanks! |
Potentially, I can't say for sure. Is having huge wheel gap really worth the 10mm width 275's will bring over 265's?

Height adjustment (without changing any other suspension geometry) will never solve any problem. All it does is give you more movement before collision occurs, making it less likely to hit (you need to hit a bigger bump before you have a problem). It's a band-aid at best, and I would never suggest using ride height to "fix" interference issues. Solve them correctly by eliminating the interference (fender roll, reshaping wheel well liners, different camber, different offset, different tire, etc.
Remove the spring from your strut and move the wheel up until it goes no more (and turn the wheel side to side in the front) - it shouldn't hit anything. If it does, then you should fix the problem, because it could hit while driving. |

Hi,
Currently running 18x9.5 + 30 wrapped in 265/35. Fenders are rolled and bumper tab has been taken care of... I'm in need of new tires and while the 265/35 isn't in stock the 275/35 is... will there be any big enough difference? Or just force them to order the 265/35? I currently have zero rubbing issues, and do plan on raising the car up around 0.5inch from where it is as of now. Thanks. |
They will be slightly taller sidewalls and 5mm wider on each side of the rim...... Go look at your car and figure out if you have 5mm of room through your entire turn radius :dunno:
|
Going to run 255/40/17, 17x9. Enkei RPF1. Track wheels.
Thanks, |
Yeah it will fit I ran 17x9 +35 255/40/17 and it was perfect for track |
Currently running 18x9 ET43 with 245/40 tyres and tein tein coilovers. I tried 20mm spacers on the back so effectively ET23 and it rubbed a lot...
Just bought some new wheels that are 18x9 et20 can I use my 245 tyres and roll the arches or is that still going to be too much? Can adjust ride height of needed |
Oh and that's going to be et20 all round now not just the back

Can adjust ride height of needed Yes, you'll have 3mm MORE interference. If you're asking if a roll is enough, I'm inclined to say no way (without camber out of stock specs), but maybe someone else knows better. |
