k thanks

vtec this 12-02-2008 07:06 PM

ok ive changed my mind from the gram lights to the work vs-xx, i can get them in practically any size and almost any offset, car is dropped with the eibach pro springs kit, what is the fattest 18 i could fit in the rear with the best offset to make flush without any rubbing or fender rolling. What is the the best offset for front to make flush, with a wheel thats maybe a half inch or inch thinner than the front.

imput1234 12-02-2008 10:59 PM

18x10 is the fattest, you will need to roll, if you wanna be flush.

vtec this 12-02-2008 11:23 PM

so what about a 18x9.5? and what would my offset need to be? Does rolling fenders make the paint crack?

imput1234 12-03-2008 06:48 AM

If you just wanna run max tire.

People run 18x9.5 with 275 all around, but it won't be flush. How the fender will look like after getting rolled depends on who rolled it.

k how about
Axis Supermesh 19'
Offset: 45
5x 114.3
19x8.5 in the front 19x9.5 in the rear

Riken 12-03-2008 02:11 PM

where r u imput1234 lol

thawk97 12-03-2008 03:16 PM

Is it possible to put 19x8's @ 38mm on without doing anything to the car? Is that a stretch or not? What size wheels on that without having to make any changes? (this would be my first venture away from stock and I don't want to have to make other adjustments to get them to fit)

(also - I plan to drive the car on regular roads so if a pothole is going to wreck me at that size please tell me)

J8635621 12-03-2008 03:27 PM

both of those should fit easy lol really easy

You'll need a roll.

19 feet maybe a little too big, lol. you'll be fine.

vtec this 12-03-2008 08:40 PM

lol those are some blingin wheels, youd have an rx8 sittin higher than monster trucks on those ninteen footers

alexisthemovie 12-03-2008 09:24 PM

paint cracks are inevitable. The best tip I can give is to heat it up really well and be patient when you roll/flare. The fact is, you are bending CURED paint. Luckily, the paint cracks usually aren't visible and you can just apply touchup paint with your finger around the areas and it will look perfect.

Not sure about tires, but I am running the same set of Rota's on stock 225/45/18. No issues, no spacers, no problem.

But I would like to know if those would be the best tires to get rid of the stretched look I have. :banghead: :banghead:

Should be good....puts the outer edge in a good place and the tires aren't going to cause a problem. Won't need spacers...cause if you do have a problem it will be on the outside corner of the rears...might need a roll depending on the tires

atl04rx8 12-06-2008 10:24 AM

I am sorry, but what is a roll?? thanks

If the rears rub you can "roll" the fender lip in with a special tool and get about 1/2" more clearance for the tire. It will also make the edge round there instead of a sharp metal edge that cuts into the tire.....

atl04rx8 12-06-2008 07:29 PM

I should be pretty safe with 18x9 +48 rims and 245/40/18 right?

It shouldn't be a problem at all. I've run 245/40's on a 8" rim.

toxiczwud 12-06-2008 10:47 PM

18x9.5 +38 offset

First post woo.
Um will 18x9.5 all around +38 offset fit.
Was thinking of running 265 on back and 245 on front.
