That also makes a difference lol.

Well the 275 35 19 came in so I installed them. Yep I need a roll. Now if it rubs a little will this cause damage? I need to drive the car to work and during lunch ill have them rolled at a auto body shop. Should I be ok to drive it like this? It rubs only when bumps. Not all the time.

Here is another one that I'm questioning the size/offset.

19x9 front w/ +37 or +42
19x10 rear w/ +37

Front tires most likely would have to be a 235/35/19 or 265/30/19
Rear tires most likely would have to be a 275/30/19

That is just going by what most people run for 18s(overall height for the tire is what I'm basing this on).

Car is on Tein S.Techs

TopGear8 01-07-2009 07:20 PM

^That definitally won't fit in the rear.

that would be a beautiful setup IMO but with that kind of drop and that offset - there's a good chance it'll rub if not worse...

You'll need to pull the rears.

Your on stock ride height, maybe with really small tire and a lot of camber, but I really doubt it.

Symbioticgenius 01-11-2009 12:46 AM

Just for shiggles, whats the widest tire you could do in both the front and rear to maintain the neutral handling? How would you have to do it?

dannobre 01-11-2009 12:00 PM

You can run 285's on all 4 corners with the right wheels.....

With regard to optimal Snow tyres and rims, I'm given to understand for normally 18 inch equipped RX-8s that 17 inch rims and corresponding snow tyres are preferable to the OEM size. What rim offset and width is the narrowest that will accommodate the GT/Touring brakes? What would be the smallest tyre (to give the best bite in the snow) that would support the weight of the car properly and yet still fit on the aforementioned rims?

bumblebeerx8 01-11-2009 10:02 PM

ok im lowered on tokico dspec and swift springs .8 all around want to go 19" not staggered how wide can i go and offsets needed

imput1234 01-11-2009 10:25 PM

Atilla 01-12-2009 09:50 AM

18x9.5 +35 on all 4

I've combed through pretty much all of the posts in this thread and have searched other threads. I'm finding some mixed answers in regards to a setup I'm looking to get. Some say it will fit no problem but other posts say they will rub depending on the tire.

18x9.5 +35 on FR & RR.

This will be my daily driver and I will not be lowering the car.

Will this fit & what size tire options do I have?

Thanx in advance.

bumblebeerx8 01-12-2009 07:26 PM

thanks^
ok heres what im looking at
19x9.5 all around with a +40 offset
255/35 and im lowered on swift springs
will i need fender roll im looking for flush wheels

ScottyStyles 01-12-2009 07:50 PM

How wide of tires can I fit (front and rear), on stock rims, without rubbing/rolling? I'm trying to figure out how much I can get to the ground for my R-compounds that I need to buy.

Max tire you can possibly fit is 275 all around, you will rub with that tire setup, but with a minor roll you should be fine.

Hey thanks for the response,

I don't want to modify the body and want the max tire size without rubbing. Would 245/255 all around be ok?
