Been thinking about 18x9 +29 all around. Would I have problems in the front? How about 19x9?
With the offset calculator 18x9 +29 is equivalent to people running 9.8 +35 in depth inwards the fender,
so rear should be fine with a roll and camber work.

All depends on your tire size, and how low you are. If you are getting a roll/pul + - camber, you'll be fine running whatever.

19 wont change any thing, wheel width, tire size, and offset basically determines the fitment.

That is what he was talking about lol.

18x10.5 +43 with 265/35/18? j/k

Descent 02-10-2009 10:12 PM

I'm pretty sure this has already been answered, as I think it's a common size, but how about 18x8.5 +35mm offset with 225/45R18 tires? This is on stock suspension

Dude if your on OEM ride height, you can clear anything.

But yeah that setup will work fine even if you get lowered a lot.

If you are getting new tires get 245 or 255 all around.

Descent 02-10-2009 10:29 PM

255s would fit on a 8.5 rim? Sorry, I really don't know much about this shit :\

And I guess I'm kind of just being paranoid, I don't want any rubbing, don't want to roll my fenders. But I guess the stock ride height IS pretty high. So, how about this? 18X9.5 25mm offset? Or is that too much?

Edit: Awesome link j8635621, it helps a lot. And fuck it, I'm probably just going to go with the 18x8.5 at 35mm, probably with 245s. Thanks!

Yes. Look at sizing charts like this http://marktg.toyotires.com/file/18966.pdf . It will have a range of rim widths that the tire will fit.

but seriously. i know these wheels fit, but if i already have Tein S-Tech's would i still be ok?

TopGear8 02-10-2009 10:42 PM

^You would need a roll with your drop.

nuke0907 02-10-2009 10:47 PM

i don't know. i think the back may be fine. the front is what i'm worried about.

the back wheel fitment i have now is perfect.

imput1234 02-10-2009 11:08 PM

You should not need anything, I think TEAMRX8 is on that setup running 285's, but his rears are rolled. 265 will be a nice stretch , allowing you to lower it more ;)

Fortunate Few 02-11-2009 02:17 PM

ok ive got 2 choices
Rota grids (volk te37 replicas)

18x8.5 + 48 mm
or
18x9.5 + 20mm

give me pros and cons please

dont want to go staggered

dannobre 02-11-2009 02:20 PM

Pros...1st one will fit......2nd won't :

Cons: 1st one will look like stock.....sunken in...:(

No other options?

Fortunate Few 02-11-2009 02:25 PM

thats the only sizes that might fit the 8 that they make :(

Fortunate Few 02-11-2009 02:31 PM

it wouldnt look too bad right?

dannobre 02-11-2009 02:32 PM

Almost exactly like stock.......so if that's OK..it will look good :)

Descent 02-11-2009 02:35 PM

You can't get the 8.5's in a larger offset or the 9.5s in a smaller one?

Or am I saying that backwards?

dannobre 02-11-2009 02:36 PM

You'd want the 8.5's in smaller offset......like 30-35....or the 9.5's closer to 40 :)

Fortunate Few 02-11-2009 02:47 PM

nah, i wish they had more options :(

Atilla 02-11-2009 03:00 PM

^what happened to the grid's!? HAHA -

seriously though dannobre's right - if you're looking for a more flush look w/a more narrow wheel (say 8.5") look for a lower offset - as you go more wide, look for a higher offset (say in the 40's) unless you don't mind some rolling :)

im still trying to get them.

WILL THESE WORK?

18x9.5 +38 all corners? he said he could order these for me.

Atilla 02-11-2009 03:05 PM

^you might have a winner :)

what profile tire?

Fortunate Few 02-11-2009 03:06 PM

not sure yet i'll buy whatever works

J8635621 02-11-2009 03:07 PM

I posted pics of what that looks like a couple pages back. I have 245/40s though. I'd suggest a bit wider tire (I got them for the stock rims but got a killer deal).
