the front will rub if you're REALLY low but for the most part you should be fine

NightShark 02-26-2009 06:31 PM

^^^ are we talking stock camber here? what if i put maybe -2 camber on the front or even if i run a slimmer tire on the rim?

R: 19x10 +45 // 275/30/19

I'm going to have the front and rear fenders rolled and am hoping to get as flush with the fenders as possible. The car will be lowered on coils with no finger gap on the drop.

what do you guys think?

You'll need to pull the front, but you'll be fine. Really weird setup tho.

Jedi54 02-26-2009 06:56 PM

what wheels are they?
Why not something like a 19x8.5 +35 - 38. Then you can run a 245 tire

NightShark 02-26-2009 07:09 PM

they're tenzo's GF7's .... not much offset options there..

^MY GAWD...............................those are sexy :yumyum:

Fortunate Few 02-28-2009 04:22 PM

ok eariler this month i bought my rims. they wont be here till next month but now i gotta buy tires. ive already desided the kind i want but im not sure about the wall height.

my rims are 18x9.5 so i was told that 265 would be great but what height should i go with so it doesnt rub. 30?35?

imput1234 02-28-2009 04:45 PM

What's your offset?

Fortunate Few 02-28-2009 05:18 PM

my offset is +38

imput1234 02-28-2009 05:28 PM

Yeah, you can run 265/35 fine

Fate710 02-28-2009 07:27 PM

Ok getting ready to get tires for the wheels I'm getting and I want to make sure they'll be ok.

18x10 +48 all around

Am I going to need to run a 265/35 or 255/35 all around to be ok.

Car is stock height and won't be lowered for awhile.

imput1234 02-28-2009 07:34 PM

Either one, you'll be fine.

jbeat 02-28-2009 08:00 PM

Will 19X8.5 +45 fit alright? What kind of tires would be best for it?

bee_afraid 02-28-2009 10:19 PM

+45 17x9 255/40/17 azenis and I'm unsure on the suspension at the moment.

Should I have any issues?

Atilla 02-28-2009 11:42 PM

Jbeat: 245/35/19 (IMO, In my opinion)

A few questions: I'm getting new tires for my stock 18" rims and I'm wondering which dimension I should get for good grip. Can I go with xxx/35 on the stock rims? Is 255/xx too much? What's the ideal size?

RX876 03-01-2009 12:11 PM

Ok guys, you helped me out on the wheels, I need springs now.... I posted a picture of the car on post #1808 (Damn.... is there really that many!!?)

f: 19x8.5 w/ 36 offset 225/35/19
r: 19x9.5 w/ 42 offset 245/35/19

With the wheels being 19's now, the car sits a little higher... I got the side aero flares that I need to put on, which won't make it look as high.... but I want to lower the car but not sure what springs to get due to ride height vs wheel size (more concerned about rear height).... Also, didn't want to compromise driveability too much, so spring rate should be taken into consideration... the tires I have now have about 70-80% left, will be on for a while, but i wanted to maybe get a little taller tire when the time comes to help fill the gap.... what springs would you guys recommend?

TopGear8 03-01-2009 12:23 PM

^I would say some swift springs, they will lower your car by .8" all around, so you won't be too low.

BlackStar04 03-01-2009 05:57 PM

Here's what I'm looking at doing:

19x8.5 - 225 or 235/35/19 - 35mm offset for the front
19x9.5 - 245 or 255/35/19 - 35mm offset for the rear

Will they be flush, stick out a little bit or be in a little bit on the wheel well and will I have to roll my fenders? My car isn't lowered yet. But, will be in the near future with the Tein Basic coilover kit. Thanks for any and all help!

It'll stick in a little bit, you'll be close with 9.5 +35 all around. 245 will be fine.

Thinking about getting a set of these in gunmetal. Buddy Club P1 racing SF's in18x8.5 w/ a offset of 30, would I be better going an offset of +40?
