i already stated what the deal is earlier but i am not sure if this thread is the right place to put this question. i am wondering what other people do if they ran into a problem like this. 10k spring rate in the rear and i didn't measure how low but theres not much of a fender gap there....

You might be SOL.... that braket can't really be modified I don't think.

Atilla 03-09-2009 04:06 PM

yeah...i think you might be SOL :icon_no2:

i know this might be far fetched - but is there anyway you could possibly shave the tab down?

Will these fit on a stock suspension?

I'm thinking the same. Maybe sell the existing tires to help fund the replacements :dunno:

envyno1 03-09-2009 08:23 PM

thanks guys for the help, i think i am SOL so i will be getting some 275/30/19 but i rather get the 265/35/19 but the price difference is is so rediculous

oh i see, thanks for the heads up.

Mike.230 03-11-2009 01:00 PM

Hey

Just to be sure

Lowered on Eibach pro kit

(Front) 8.5x18" +38 245/40/18
(Rear) 9.5x18"
+38 275/35/18

Atilla 03-11-2009 01:02 PM

^tight fit on the rear. If anything, some camber might work.

Jedi54 03-11-2009 01:16 PM

atilla: you got new tires and didn't tell me?!

envy: great looking car! I think you're going to have to change the tire size, sorry man.
If you just put those on there, you might be able to sell for a decent amount to help offset the expense

J8635621 03-11-2009 01:16 PM

You'll probably have to roll the rear a little bit or run some camber.

TopGear8 03-11-2009 01:18 PM

^He'll be fine with some camber, no need to roll the rear.

Atilla 03-11-2009 01:19 PM

Jedi: check teh b@w thread :D:

Mike.230 03-11-2009 02:15 PM

Would I be better off with

235/40/18
265/35/18

Atilla 03-11-2009 02:16 PM

^Better chance of fitting w/out camber.

Mike.230 03-11-2009 02:24 PM

Cool thanks bro.

Will 18x8 +40 look stupid? I have a good deal on some TSW Nogaros, but I don't know how it will look compared to stock (more sunk in I think, or about in the same place?) GAH deciding on wheels is so goddamn difficult!

Atilla 03-11-2009 05:52 PM

umm yeah...

just to give you an idea. The stockies are 18x8 +50. +40 it will be pushed out by 10mm.

My personal opinion...if you're gonna upgrade in wheel, at least go wider. Put more rubber to the ground.

Edit: Thanks imput - iono wtf i was thinking :banghead:

imput1234 03-11-2009 05:54 PM

^it won't be more concave, the wheel will come out 10mm more

sigh.

I know I know. I really want 9.5 all around, I'm just having trouble figuring out what I want :\

Edit: Speaking of which, does anyone have any opinions on what color wheel would look best on a stormy blue?

New rims

Hey guys,
I just got these rims (http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...%3AIT&viewitem) and I was wondering what size tires I should get for my RX8. All the suspension is stock. I was thinking 225/35/19, but I am not too sure how well it would work. Any suggestions.

HockeyRX-8 03-11-2009 08:31 PM

go with 245/35/19

nlcox 03-11-2009 09:04 PM
