If your car isn't lowered I might work depending on the suspension travel. I have 275/30- 19 on mine and i had to cut the lip off. my car i lowered too.

possible, but not practical. 255 would be a LOT better

ok a little bit dealin with offset and tire size. Since a 18x9.5 will fit a 275/35/18 with a +45 offset, would an 18x10 fit the same 275/35/18 with a +48, or +43, or +40, or +38 offset.

The wheels come with a +48 offset, but I'd run a 5mm, 8mm, or 10mm spacer to get them to fit properly with a decent size tire.

Let me know what ya'll think soon cause I want to order my tires this week.

+48 you'll be able to clear fine with that size

WhiteSnowflake8 03-17-2009 02:27 AM

I asked this before, thinking on picking up a set of 17x10s with +38... Now i do have coilovers so height is adjustable. Would 275/40/17 fit fine?
Thanks

I have read the thread mostly through but i need a little help if anyone is willing...

19 x 8.5 EITHER +35 or +45, i HAVE to run a minimum 10 mm spacer (the reason of which will become apparent at a later date), which makes the offsets +25 and +35...

This will be a square setup and id like to run a 245 35 19 tire on this setup, any thoughts?

(don't ask about the mandatory spacer, again, ill explain later :P)

Thanks in advance!

Sanguine 03-17-2009 01:25 PM

I'd take the +45 offset wheels if you must use a 10mm spacer. Plus, I'd also run 255/35/19s.

^Getting a BBK?

Sovesky 03-17-2009 03:13 PM

Wut size tire should i get and what is the biggest size i can fit without rolling the fenders with 19X8.5 +38 and s-tech lowering.

TopGear8 03-17-2009 03:17 PM

^255/35/19's

If i change the "mandatory spacer" to 15 mm, giving me........

19 x 8.5 + 30, would that fit all round, back should be ok, how about front? Any suggestions?

After a roll/pull you'll be fine.

19x10 30 6 5/8
19x10 40 7
19x8 30 5 5/8
19x8 40 6
19x9 30 6 1/8
19x9 40 6 1/2

what would be the best for staggered. I want the biggest lip possible without running into problems, thanks

Tires for GTC01 - Trouble finding answer

Guys,
I'm having serious trouble finding an answer on this one.:banghead:
19" GTC-01's

?Front 19x8.5 offset 42 will 245/40/19's work?
?Back 19x9.5 offset 42 will 275/35/19's work?

HockeyRX-8 03-19-2009 04:02 PM

you'll be fine with those

J8635621 03-19-2009 04:47 PM

^ Most people would get 245/35/19 or 275/30/19 for the smaller diameter that fits the speedo better.

Gecko_8 03-20-2009 07:16 PM

Ok so would a 255/35/19 fit a 19x9.5 +37 offset in the rear with s-techs? I had 275/30's in the rear and they rub'd so i roled the fenders and they still rub'd the plastic inside the bumper.

HockeyRX-8 03-20-2009 07:51 PM

see if you can shave down the plastic piece that you're rubbing on first

Gecko_8 03-20-2009 07:57 PM

Its already worn right out and over large bumps i hit the actual piece where the bumper screws in.

Do u think the 255/35 will be a better option or no?

imput1234 03-21-2009 12:13 AM

It will fit, better? Not necessarily, that's based on what you think. If you are talking about rubbing, yeah it'll help a lot

19 x 9.5 15 offset with a 245 40 18, if not will any tire work with that rim size and offset

Will be close to an inch too far out...this won't likely work at all...especially if lowered

Try a different offset, these won't work

vtfanatic69 03-23-2009 05:26 PM

I'm looking to run an 18x8.5 with either a 35+ or 38+ offset. Would it fit and look right to use 225/45R18 tires with this or is there a better size? I'm torn between matte black fn01r-c's and black super hiros. they are both the same price and idk which to get. I haven't been able to find any RX-8's with super hiros so idk if they would look good or not.

Also one more question. Anyone know if the Super Hiros take TPMS?

Thanks

imput1234 03-23-2009 07:31 PM

ither offset will fit fine, and the tire size is good aswell.

J8635621 03-23-2009 08:12 PM

225/45 will work and not look bad on 8.5" rims, but if you are getting new tires then I would suggest atleast 245/40 if not 255/40.
