that i'm not positive on. I have a preference for the 40 sidewall now.

Tein S-tech drop...

19x9.5 rear 19x8.5 front +35 245/35 rear 225/35 front

20x10 rear 20x8.5 front +35 255/35 rear 225/35 front

18x9.5 rear 18x8.5 front +35 245/35 rear 225/35 front

I'm not afraid of rolling fenders and cutting fender liners so what will work here? Are the tire sizes i selected decent for the rim sizes? Unfortunately i can't change the offsets... damn cheap azz wheels these days.

^IMO, i like this setup the most.

Rotary Soul 04-17-2009 03:14 PM

Anyone know if 18x9 +35 will fit without a roll?

Atilla 04-17-2009 03:38 PM

lowered? if so, on what?

Rotary Soul 04-17-2009 03:42 PM

it's lowered very modestly. slightly less than an inch. I don't know which tires I'm getting yet, I'm open to suggestions. Thanks Atilla.

Atilla 04-17-2009 03:43 PM

NP - it'll fit fine

Rotary Soul 04-17-2009 03:52 PM

I feel like it'll be pretty close for the front. I'll probably have to put some negative camber?

Rotary Soul 04-17-2009 03:59 PM

here's the story: I thought they would fit, so I bought them. however the local bodyshop that i go to doesn't usually handle performance parts, and they told me that these rims will not fit. I guess I'll have to try another shop? I mean no matter how low end a body shop is i thought they'd be able to handle something like this.

Atilla 04-17-2009 04:02 PM

djcharlee (another forum member) is running a more aggressive suspension setup than you and more aggressive offset as well. 1" drop and +30 offset - it's flush as hell.

is it because of your alignment that they would suggest it wouldn't fit?? Just wondering because i've noticed some shops will turn people away because when they eye-ball it, it doesn't look like it'll fit

Rotary Soul 04-17-2009 04:07 PM

word. I guess i'll just have to take it to a shop that knows how to work the suspension. I just got my hypermax rs installed so I was looking forward to driving the rex on new rims... curse you complications!

he's dropped on s-tech's (1.8" drop) w/only a slight rub on the plastic

hope this helps

Rotary Soul 04-17-2009 04:39 PM

cool, thanks man. I'll get this figured out.

RedMica06 04-18-2009 12:40 AM

What's the biggest brake kit you can fit underneath a set of black OZ Ultraleggeras in 18 or 19 inches? Also does nitto make an invo or nt05 tire that will fit this wheel?

imput1234 04-18-2009 12:51 AM

All depends on offset

2tone 04-18-2009 12:10 PM

i'm sure this has been answered, but i can't bring myself to scour through 85+ pages!!

I have a body kit on now, and as much as i love the oem wheels, they really don't look good w/ a body kit!!! i have my eye on the following set-up, just never know what to do about offset.

18 x 9.5 ALL AROUND
i know they offer a couple different offsets for the wheel i want, i'll have to look again, but i want to say +45 or +48, does that sound right? anyway, i obviously don't want to rub up front, and i'm not super keen on the idea of rolling the fenders; but i want them to look flush and not stick out!

i have tein s drop. i really want to run nothing more thatn 255 tires, although sounds like i might have to go to 265 w/ a 9.5 width...

any tips on the offset i would need to get and if 255's would fit without being super stretched? THANKS!

J8635621 04-18-2009 04:16 PM

Look in my album and I have 18x9.5 +38 all around with 245/40 (kinda stretched). 255/40 will look alright (no rolling) but 265 would probably be better looking and not need a roll with +40 and higher.

pdxhak 04-18-2009 04:37 PM

You know there is a search function for just threads? So you do not have to click through every page looking for setups.

Motomouse 04-18-2009 07:24 PM

I bought around november new rims 19/9.5/275 all 4 corners and today I put them on.
Thanks to those who help me answer my questions :) The fitment is beautiful I cant imagine better :)
Thanks to NgoRX8 for advice about tires profile I go 275/30 and it looks like i should not have any problems
I will post some pics tomorrow
THANKS!!

Hi there im a new member i need help. im thinkin about buying the JIC J-force 07 18x9.5 +30 do you guys think it would fit? or should i go to +38? i dont know what size tires yet? thanks

Motomouse 04-18-2009 08:27 PM

mine are 42 offset and they are close to rubb

But If you want to roll a fender 38 should be fine wtih 275 I am not sure about 30 offset

I have pondered a similar set up, 18x9.0 +35 w/ 255/35 or 18x9.5 +35 w/ 255/35

Opinions?

Thanks for the info. Did your wheel flush to the fender? Will it be posible for you to post a picture of your car? Thanks again.
