^So you don't actually want to get a wider wheel on the rear...Just a wider tire? I mean you could put a 245 in the rear on the 8" stock wheel, but usually when people go staggered, the rear wheel is actually wider than the front...Not just the tire.

SEANMAC777 05-06-2009 12:00 PM

I probably will change the wheel out eventually but not right now. So if I went with 245's should they be 245-45-18? or 245-40-18?

Zelse 05-06-2009 02:42 PM

Alright guys, got a curve ball.

I'm lowered on Stance Coilovers, about 1.1 all around I'd say. Similar to Stechs, but evened out on the conservative side, hows that?

18x9 +29 with 255/35/18

or

18x9 +25 with 255/35/18

will it fit?! I have to get this order going and apparently know this by 6pm to get my order out.. :/ Thanks for the help guys.

You'll be fine, need a roll.

245/40

Ross_Dawg 05-06-2009 11:45 PM

will 275/30/19 fit all around with an s-tech drop? Thinking about some nitto NT-05's but they only come in 245 or 275. Rim width is 9.0 ET +40
TIA

TopGear8 05-06-2009 11:48 PM

^I would think with some camber you would clear fine.

Ross_Dawg 05-07-2009 12:00 AM

how sick would that look if I could get it to work

PF-Racing 05-07-2009 05:12 AM

What about this setup:

Front: 19x8 ET45
Rear: 19x9,5 ET35
Fenders: rolled

What kind of tires should I use? I want 275 in the rear :)

Ross_Dawg 05-07-2009 01:46 PM

gunna have to use a 30 profile tire, should work though

SEANMAC777 05-07-2009 02:18 PM

Alright...I dont really know a lot about all of the offsets and such, but If I was to change out my wheels, What size wheel/tire should I get? I wanna go as wide as possible in the back without sticking out. I want the tire to be under the car, rather than outside of it. I would probably want to go with at least 19" rims.

Atilla 05-07-2009 02:57 PM

I'd say Jedi pushed it pretty far w/his Advans - 19x8.5F (dont' remember the offset) 19x10R +48

There's also someone selling 20" Volk GTC's that seemed to fit nicely.

Jedi54 05-07-2009 03:00 PM

you rang?

My advans =
19x8.5 +38
19x10 +42

They're pure sex.

Atilla 05-07-2009 03:02 PM

^well there you go. :D:

tiltmode43 05-07-2009 03:13 PM

So this is where the cool kids hang out...

SEANMAC777 05-07-2009 03:19 PM

Jedi, did the wheels stick out at all? did you have to do anything different? like suspension? or "rolling the fenders" Im looking at the s-tech lowering springs right now...

Nevermind - he posted up the link :icon_no2:

SEANMAC777 05-07-2009 03:34 PM

Those looks awesome! What does rollling the fenders consist of? is it expensive?

imput1234 05-07-2009 04:27 PM

The lip below the fender, you "roll it" so it wont stick out and rub on the tires.

SEANMAC777 05-07-2009 05:00 PM

is that expensive?

Jedi54 05-07-2009 05:00 PM

define "expensive"

SEANMAC777 05-07-2009 05:13 PM

lol, what is the average cost to do this? is it like $100 or $1000

Jedi54 05-07-2009 05:27 PM

about $150 to roll fenders. Give or take $50 depending on the shop.

SEANMAC777 05-07-2009 05:33 PM

thats not bad. one more question...

about how many inces wide would my back tire be with a 275 tire?
