Thx. +35 w/255 won't rub at all when car is loaded and going over bumps or doing hard turn? Oh I should mention that, my car will be lowering with coilover in the future. Is +35 still ok?

Atilla 05-19-2009 10:09 PM

oh shi - Just noticed you put down 19's and not 18's.

To play it safe since you're worried about having a full load + going over speed bumps, +42 would probably be best for you.

rapidfire 05-19-2009 10:12 PM

how about lowering with coilover? Is +42 will still be ok?

tiltmode43 05-19-2009 10:17 PM

"Lowering with coilovers is a rather vague term," how low are you planning?

rapidfire 05-19-2009 10:29 PM

oops, about 0.5" to 1" (Tein mono flex) depending on the wheel gap.

J8635621 05-19-2009 10:35 PM

You want coilovers for that? You will have wheel gap still btw.

rapidfire 05-19-2009 10:48 PM

I could go lower with my wheel and tire setup as long as without rubbing or rolling.

Atilla 05-19-2009 11:03 PM

at +42 w/a .5" drop you'll clear fine w/a wheel gap. Same thing if you drop a full inch. To be honest, you'd be playing it safe

i was wondering if these would fit

I'm sitting on s-techs

F 18 x 10 +35
R 18 x 10 +35

and im not sure the tire size i want to run yet...i was thinking of 265or275/40/18

anyone have any suggestions

TopGear8 05-20-2009 01:44 PM

^With 265's, depending on the tire, it should fit fine as long as you should have some negative camber. Might need a slight roll because it might rub over bumps.

Ross_Dawg 05-20-2009 01:56 PM

alright one more.

This one is just to see if I will need to roll my fenders:

17x9.5 +30
275/40/17

s-tech and full stiff dspecs

??

TopGear8 05-20-2009 02:04 PM

^Yes you will need a roll.

what would be a suggested tire or tiresize with the 18x10s +35?

J8635621 05-20-2009 02:29 PM

265/35 you dont want 40 series like you said in your last post

Suggested tire depends on what you want to do. If you are looking to track or autox, then the new Kumho XS, Falken Azenis RT-615, RE-11, etc.. are all great tires with lots of grip. If you just looking at an all around tire, you can't go wrong with the Kumho Ecsta SPT.

I was wondering if these would fit

I've got megan racing coilovers, lowered about 1.5 inches

F 18 x 9.5 +35 or +30
R 18 x 9.5 +35 or +30

for tire size i was thinking of 255/40/18

dozer 05-20-2009 04:04 PM

^that I THINK MIGHT need fender rolling...im slammed, and i BARELY clear with mine due to the camber

J8635621 05-20-2009 04:31 PM

+35 should work but +30 will need the rear fenders to be rolled.

winning8 05-20-2009 04:41 PM

what offset are you running?

yah, i have good all around tires on them right now. i want some good for a dd and something thats sticky enough to play around in (fun runs, autoX) . i wont have to worry about weather. i'll be in hawaii for the next 4 years.

Ross_Dawg 05-20-2009 07:01 PM

sounds like you're looking for a 180-280 treadwear rating tire then... might I suggest the XS or NT-05?

What type of tire life are you looking for?
